My wife and I have recently returned from our third stay at Hacienda Las Trancas. We first visited in 2007 (reviewed in April 2008) with a group of 12. We returned in 2010 (reviewed in October 2010) for a week with a group of 19. This time, 20 of us rented the hacienda for 8 nights. Both times that we...

I just returned from a second trip to Hacienda Las Trancas. It is truly a beautiful, magical place. The Hacienda is gorgeous and steeped in 500 years of history - each room entirely unique and beautifully appointed. The staff is friendly and so accommodating. The manager (Nena) absolutely goes the extra mile to ensure that you have a wonderful experience...

This place must be experienced to possibly understand how amazing it is. From the breathtaking views, to the lovely, romantic rooms, to the attentive and caring staff, to the lovingly prepared meals (3 x daily), to the day trips offered to San Miguel and Guanajuato - this was a truly magical experience that I will never forget. A small group...

My partner and I hosted our wedding at the hacienda and couldn't have been more pleased with the staff, the experience, the food, the party, the romantic trio, the mariachis, the fireworks the horseback riding, the mojigangas (giant puppets). We visited the hacienda late in 2013, and booked a wedding there for September 27, 2014. Nena did an incredible job...

I feel compelled to comment on the LESS than ***** star rating! Pay attention to the reasons behind the deductions... (for example): "the event planner was less than professional" this has to be a joke! Folks the owners charge LESS THAN $1000 dollars to plan a wedding! Who would do it for that? Where in God's earth can you find...

This hacienda has been carefully restored to its former glory by the American owners. The expierence you will receive while staying here will be like no other. It is an authentic and old hacienda that has breathed back life into what had become almost a ghost of a town. The food, the service, the linens are all top notch. If...

We booked the entire Hacienda for our wedding on New Years Eve 2011. The property is amazing. Gorgeous rooms! The food is amazing! There is so much to do for all ages. We had a wonderful time. Why not an excellent rating.. The wedding planning was less than professional. I had to work with the owner and found the experience...

I was surprised and saddened to read this review for this wedding which took place 3 and a half years ago, New Years eve 2010. I receive so many emails after weddings with glowing reviews and thanks from our couples. Although I had sent a follow-up email to her following her wedding, asking if she enjoyed everything and to let...

We stayed three nights in this hacienda dating the the 1th century (with roots in the 16th century). Each room is individually sized—we stayed in the “Sala”—which had more square feet than many New York city apartments (and his and her bathrooms). And a fireplace . And a 40 foot balcony overlooking the garden. The staff could not have been...

Wonderful place for our photo workshop. Staff is amazing and the food is authentic, healthy, and plentiful. Happy hour each evening is worth the trip. Each room is different and the grounds are so lovely. Horse back riding was great and I would go back to the Hacienda Las Trancas if I get the chance.

This was my 4th trip to the hacienda and I plan on more! This is a beautifully refurbished, historical hacienda. Every room (suite) is uniquely decorated and very entertaining. Each has it's own bathroom and many have separated living spaces. The food, cooked by Yolanda and Amada is fantastic, authentic Mexican and can be adjusted to personal requirements. These ladies...
