Elizabeth and Brian welcomed us in their beautifully decorated cozy house. This was our first B& B experience and it was the best better than any hotels we stayed in. The rooms were bright and sunny had their own shower, The continental breakfast had a lot of options which was great. They had home made muffins,(delicious) bread, bagels, yogurt etc.The... More

We stayed one-night on our joy ride around the Cabot trail. The space was clean, and the owners very nice. There is a small kitchen to share between the two rooms, and it's stocked with bagels, toast, muffins, yogurt, etc. to make your own continental breakfast. Pleasant Bay was very nice, and a great place for whale watching! Overall, good... More

This B&B is reasonably priced, very clean and comfortable. The owners are friendly and helpful. They leave a self serve breakfast which is handy and very adequate. Bathroom is clean but quite small. There is a living room that can be used which is very modern with new furniture. We just stayed one night on our way around the Cabot... More

We stayed at the Poplar B&B on the second of a three-day tour of Cape Breton. Elizabeth and Brian were very welcoming. The room was cosy and breakfast was simple with cereal, toast, homemade muffins, yogurt and juice. The location was great - right across the street from Pleasant Bay harbour where you can go for a whale-watching tour. We... More

Our hosts were friendly and accommodating to our needs. Elizabeth kindly pointed us in the right direction for interesting sights in the area including several hiking trails. Our excursion to White Point was marvellous!

Brian and Elizabeth were wonderful hosts. They were warm and helpful, giving us detailed suggestions for where to go in the area. Elizabeth recommended some very lovely hikes away from the busy tourist spots that only the locals would know. The room we stayed in (the Poplar Suite) and the common areas were immaculate (the room and bathroom is on... More

Brian and Elizabeth are very welcoming - genuine and warm. The facilities are spotlessly clean, the beds very comfortable and the showers warm. Serve yourself breakfast is such a great idea and the generous array delicious. Although the BnB is on the main road it was very quiet. The recommendations too were great. I would definately stay here again! Thank... More

You can drive the Cabot Trail in a day, but why hurry? Half way around is this very pleasant B&B in Pleasant Bay. There are only two rooms in the main house and one in a detached building. The rooms in the main house are tastefully decorated and comfortable. Each has their own bathroom. The rooms are inside the front... More

We stayed in the Poplar View room, which was very comfortable for the two of us, well-appointed with en suite. In-room air conditioner was much appreciated. The satellite TV/ wi-fi was also much appreciated as there is no cell service in this area. The self-serve continental brfst was perfect. Elizabeth and Bryan are friendly, gracious hosts with many suggestions for... More

Very bright environment. This B&B is airy, lots of light, lovely decor, great sitting area, a kitchen for you to have your breakfast. Lots of choice for breakfast and nice that you can do it at whatever time suits your itinerary.
