We spent 2 nights and were very pleased with both our room and the food. We thought the food was interesting and well executed. The setting is great. As other have remarked, though the service is friendly, it could be improved.

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay. We are of course delighted that you enjoyed your time with us and were pleased with the room and food - probably the 2 most important aspects of a stay. The service from the front of house is something that I and the management team are focussing on. So - next...

Food was absolutely delicious. Experimental but not outrageous! Very good. Only bad part of our visit was the waiting staff - not very attentive and didn't seem happy to be working! Otherwise very good. Like the new conservatory part although it did cut us off from the rest of the restaurant so meant there was no atmosphere. That room is...

Thank you for your review regarding your visit to us here at The Fritton Arms. It is of course great to hear that you found the food delicious - we have worked hard to put together a more interesting and varied menu than we have had previously so to hear that our customers are enjoying the food makes it all...

Had dinner 2 nights ago, myself and my partner were very disappointed with the food and service. Staff were very uninterested and we did not feel welcomed at all. When the food finally arrived we were again let down by the taste and the presentation of our meals. We left hungrier than we went in. Would not recommend.

Stayed two for bed and breakfast. Lovely room (lady Jackson) with bathroom in bay window at the front of the house. Very peaceful night and the breakfasts were excellent - with a good up to date menu reflecting current trends. All the staff were very friendly. Would definitely come back.

Went for a meal here today for my fathers birthday and I can honestly say it was the worst meal we have ever had. It di not bode well right from the start. We were taken to our table and the young girl who served us said she would come back to take our drinks order once my husband arrived,...

Arrived late, 30 minutes. They were very understanding and had held our table. Party of 5, got served quickly and a very good menu. We all ordered differently. Food arrived on good time and was superb in quality. Well presented and warm, I rarely have 3 courses but on this occasion I did because everything we ate was so good....

We booked to stay here with all our family the night of our wedding which was at Somerleyton Hall (also owns Fritton Arms) The rooms are gorgeously decorated, so comfortable and its a little bit of luxury in the Countryside. We requested to have vegetarian sausages for breakfast and Rebecca and her team didn't disappoint. All our requests were met,...

We arrived at about 1830 hours for our 2 night stay. We had to hover by reception and wait until someone in the bar was free to see to us. Uncomfortable. We were shown to our room. Despite our booking stating we had been allocated room 4 we were given room 3. Whatever. Nice room but when my husband had...

The Fritton Arms is a lovely house in a beautiful location on the Somerleyton estate, close to a wonderful Saxon church. Yet frequent recent changes in management have left it slightly disorganised. First, I was unable to obtain a booking confirmation for the second room I booked and when calling to check received a very off-hand reply and no booking...

Four of us went for a meal on Saturday 14th. Service was average, all young staff appeared very inexperienced and slow and had dressed down for the occasion!! Menu was a little off the wall in its layout. Starter took some finding on the plate for the price charged! Main course arrived only" just warm". I wouldn't say it was good...
