Quick 4 day get away in January -- staff was excellent -- upgraded to a Grand Suite - accommodations were great. If you read the resort information you know that you can not swim in the ocean - but with so many pools - it is not an issue. You can still walk along the beach and if you are...

We were on the all inclusive plan which was better than most we've experienced, because it wasn't Buffett meals, we ordered while seated in the restaurant from a menu. The room very clean with linens changed daily, the tub was a little hard to get into to shower but plenty of hot water. We were on the 3rd floor at...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Solmar Resort. The setting is unrivaled for beauty and convenience. The beach is clean and nearly empty, the Marina and downtown Cabo are an easy 10 minute walk away, and you can scale a cliff of boulders seaside and reach Divorce and Lovers Beach.

We found clean rooms and grounds, great staff, loved the pool area and it was great resort location. The only negative is our unit needs updating of living room furniture...and please put in at least 2 comfortable chairs.

This is the second year in a row we have come here to spend time with friends and get a relaxing break. The hotel is warm and friendly, and it's close to town. We appreciated the Solmar staff's spontaneous decoration of our room for my wife's birthday - see photo.

Second time at the resort, food was good with exception of buffet night. Service at Solmar is the best I've experienced in Cabo. So friendly and accommodating! Big disappointment that Lovers Beach is washed away. We were looking forward to it as an option being on that side of the city.

Two night stay to our first time in Cabo San Lucas. Being from Phoenix, we have many friends that go quite often, so we had an idea of which side we should go to - the Pacific (more quiet and reserved with not a lot of people and parties) or the Sea of Cortez side (FULL of bikinis, drinking, parties...

We got the all inclusive package, Room, F&B and Airfare. Expect them to change your air flights a couple times before your vacation, not always more convenient. Hotel is a plain Jane, and you can use another resort down the beach for pool access, much better than Solmar, but if you got the all inclusive you will pay additional. Next...

The resort is older and not as luxurious as the Grande Solmar next door but that is what makes it special, unique. The staff go over and above what can and should be expected of hotel staff. The location is perfect - literally 500 metres from the marina but you feel like you are in a private resort, isolated from...

“Sometimes there is a 'little' problem with the hot water but who cares it sorts itself eventually and in that climate it's not an issue. It's an older resort so the rooms are probably more spacious than the newer ones. If you're happy to basic and love looking out to the beach this is the place to be. ”
