I’ll start by saying that I travel all over the world and stay at a wide range of hotels (both all-inclusive and not), but the Hyatt Ziva is def an all-inclusive I’d return to. From the moment we stepped out of the car I felt perfectly at home and welcomed! It’s the way we all want to feel on vacation, relaxed without a trouble in mind! The check in staff were super efficient, both Icon and Israel welcomed us and of course, got us some amazing margaritas while we checked in! The big thing for me was that entire time we were there you could feel the passion from every person who worked there. Always greeting each guest with the same love and happiness that makes you feel right at home!! I’m sure it helped that it’s covid, but the staff to guest ratio was amazing and we never didn’t have a drink or someone checking in. En route to our room we got shown the general lay of the land. Passing what would soon be our favorite martini/marg bar (the cucumber jalapeño margaritas were my fav!) and below, the fire pits over the water that we retreated to each night to relax after dinner! Our room was literally breathtaking. The ocean views... the size?! It was 2 rooms (one with a living room/dining area & the other with our bed... and both with ocean balconies!!) We also had a warm note welcoming us for my birthday and a chilled bottle of bubbles. The other touch that made it special was each night we’d have a cool artistic dessert creation left during turndown - they were beautiful and rather delicious! Definitely beats the chocolate on my pillow I’d get elsewhere. On to the restaurants: Dozo - Asian teppanyaki style. I highly recommend eating at the hot table for the show puts Benihana to shame! The mahi-mahi was such a treat too! The saki-cosmo-tini ended up being a hit too and our whole table pretty much ordered one. Bon Vivent- the French restaurant. We did the “little chef” experience and I’m a totally food experience person and this blew me away!! They have projectors on the ceiling that take you on a journey. Each course you watch this tiny little chef prepare your food in a fun and humorous display. It ends with the restaurant staff bringing the food to your table that matches what was just projected on your plate!!! Very unique. Hacienda - the beach front restaurant. By far our favorite!!! The fish was just amazing, the ambiance was perfect. We started with seared ahi and salads. But the star of the night for me was the yellowtail steak. Again, so fresh and perfectly seasoned and perfected seared. Also, the cocktails were the best here too! Caesar, the chef, came out after and we pretty much gave him a standing ovation :) Baja Bar - it’s adults only but our favorite lunch spot. There wasn’t a menu, so word of mouth really is how we found this gem. It had the most amazing ahi tostadas, octopus tostadas and a rotating selection of meat tacos on a gyro type spit that kept me coming back for more! Coffee stop- I can’t forget this as they had great coffee and tons of fun coffee treats! Even gluten free options (cookies, banana bread) I hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did!!!!

We are on our flight back to Seattle now after 5 nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. My favorite part was the dessert- the pastry chef is outstanding (Pavlovas!) The beach is clean and safe and the beach beds were extra comfortable for an afternoon nap. Staff brining snacks and Jell-O shots to people at the pool/beach was a nice touch and tacos by the bar were delicious. If I could change things, I would return salt/pepper shakers on the table. You have to make a special request for salt and a lot of good meals go unappreciated if they are not salted to your taste. Salt shakers do not transmit COVID; come on people - get them back on the tables. Another thing I would change is relax protective gear rules for staff. Poor people have to wear goggles and mask at all times at 80 degree heat. As much as I dislike the mask, I understand, but at least do not force the goggles. It is pretty ridiculous. Otherwise, we loved our stay and the staff was as excellent as it gets. A special shout out to staff who became friends: Fabian and Lucy at the coffee shop; Salvador and Celeste as entertainers; Xavier, Louise and Emmanuel at the Club; Anselmo Martinez at reception; Carlos and a female staff at Dozo; José at Hacienda (mucho gracias para menudo!); Lugardo and Dolores for breakfast at the buffet; and Gernado at the beach bar! We will be back!

My wife and I went the first week in Feb and had an amazing time. We only wish there were more travelers there. Everyone there was amazing and so kind, I wish I could remember all their names and thank them. I do want to thank the hostess Margarita, she was one of the best parts of our day and said hello and helped us everyday at breakfast.

Our stay at Hyatt Ziva was great! the hotel was very nice and clean, and they even provided Covid Test for us at no extra charge! but what made this trip great was the staff. They were so amazing! Alberto, Margarita, and Yesenia were amazing everyday at breakfast. They remembered us after our first day, and remembered all our favorite drinks, and condiments and brought them to us the minute we sat down. Edgar by the pool was amazing as well, he went above and beyond when making our drinks and always made sure we were good. We will definitely be coming back to this hotel!
