What I liked: Covid procedures are great. They are always cleaning and great procedures in place. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Their is some decent little restaurants and grocery options nearby. Only a few minutes walk from the beach. Breakfast was much better than a typical HP breakfast with local options. The price is reasonable. First time in this area and must say we liked San Jose Del Cabo a lot, of course it is very quiet right now. Overall, it was a very good stay and very well ran property. We would definitely stay there again.
Stayed as a Hyatt Globalist recently for a short holiday. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: + Easy bus ride to and from the airport. Bus picks up at domestic terminal and drops off across from the hotel. Uber doesn’t pick up at airport, so otherwise it’s an expensive cab ride or shuttle. + 5min walk to beach, though it’s not a suitable beach for swimming. If you’re adventurous you could walk ~40m at low tide to the closest swimmable beach, Playa Palmilla. Or take bus/Uber. + Pleasant 45min stroll to the old town of San Jose via the Malecón if you don’t mind a flat walk. Don’t miss the little estuary path along the way. Or again, a short Uber ride. + Even-numbered rooms 00 to 26 have a gorgeous view of the ocean and mountains (best on the top floor). But they also face the main road, so expect some noise. The ocean view from the 71/73/75/77/79 side isn’t quite as picturesque without the mountains but it’s quieter. CONS: - On my last stay, one of the two elevators was out, causing long waits at peak times. - I must have terrible timing because I’ve had some very long waits at the front desk. When checking in on my last trip, for example, I just stood there waiting to be called forward and then 7 flight attendants walked in and immediately got motioned forward to all get checked in and get their room keys before me, even though I was there first. Not the prioritizing you expect as a Globalist. Another time there were 5 people working to help 1 person, and nobody could break away when all I needed was another room key. - Last room had a plumbing issue where the toilet would make some loud whooshing noise once an hour or so. Not awful just annoying.…
Had four work trips over winter and stayed at Hyatt Place for about 28 days total. Great location with parking, short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Rooms are clean, bed is comfy, breakfast is always delicious. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely staying here again.
I have stayed at Hyatt Place Los Cabos many times since it was built. The hotel was designed with guest convenience in mind: items are located where you expect them to be, amenities are just what you are likely to need during your stay, and the hotel services are available for a wide range of time so that you're never without the ability to exercise, buy water or any essentials you may have forgotten, eat a healthy meal or grab a quick snack. Plus it is clean, safe, conveniently located, and very well managed. And most importantly, I'm able to sleep well when I stay there!
Finding great accommodations is increasingly difficult during these times, Hyatt Place makes it easy. The location is fantastic. Close to grocery, restaurants, and of course the Sea of Cortez!! All in all, this is a No-brainer!!
