When you first get to Cabo azul and your room isn’t ready, head to the pool bar where Ismael and co. will make you feel so far away but just like your at home. By day 2 or 3 you won’t want to leave as I didn’t. But when you do, you will just count the days until you return. Because you will.
We spent 25 wonderful days/nights at Cabo Azul. We spent the first 19 nights in a one bedroom ocean view and 5 nights in a Penthouse. The views from both were fabulous. We felt very safe - the COVID safety protocols in place are better than I have seen in the US. Water mats and then a dry mat when you enter the building, sanitizer everywhere, sanitizer sheets at the elevator doors, beach towels are in plastic zip bags so they are not sitting out in the open, lounge and cabana covers are changed every time someone leaves and before someone else uses. The food at the restaurant is very good. The pool attendants are very helpful, professional and friendly. One in particular that we found to be "the best" was Braulio Chavez who we met on our first day and saw him everyday (except on his days off). I found out his schedule as to his areas each week and always tried to sit in his area. Braulio also made sure we had everything we needed, neck pillows, knee pillows, carried our towels to where we were going to sit and place them on the chair or in the cabana. He was very friendly and helpful with information about the area, how to take the bus to the airport (we lost our FMM Immigration form and needed to go to the airport and didn't want to take a taxi) where was the best and closest grocery store. etc. Braulio's English is very good so it was easy to have a conversation with him. Two other Pool Attendants we found helpful and good were William and Mauricio. I fell and hurt my leg, when we arrived back from downtown and after seeing how bad it was my husband called the front desk and they sent Security/Medics up to the room to try to fix me up, however after seeing how bad I hurt myself they made arrangements for the Resort Dr. to meet us at the Clinic and took me there. Thanks to all of you, unfortunately the only name I remember was Julio but they all were helpful and concerned and help me change the bandage the first time the next day. The front desk attendants were all friendly and helpful as well as Concierges - Leon was excellent.…
Cabo Azul is one of the best resorts that you will ever visit. The attention to detail is second to none. They water the black rocks to keep them looking good! There seems to be more workers there than visitors. Everywhere you turn, workers are cleaning, taking care of the grounds, etc. We've been here 3 times and can't wait to go back. Covid protocols were in place. Masks were being worn, temps being checked, etc. Beautiful, well kept resort, I can recommend enough.
I absolutely love this place. I felt completely safe with all Covid protocols they have in place. The resort is beautiful, and the location is fantastic. The service was amazing: everyone was friendly and welcoming. I was so impressed by how careful the staff is about Covid prevention. Jorge L. was so helpful and professional, taking the time to assure our needs were met at all times. I would absolutely recommend staying here, and for those looking for a wedding venue this is the place!!
Worth the wait and then some. My wife and I have tried twice since Covid started to come here for our Dream Getaway and we finally were able to travel and it was truly a wonderful trip. From the concierge Leone to the front desk and really the entire staff all over the resort we really felt at home and truly comfortable. As soon as we walked in the Lobby which is absolutely fabulous the attention to detail and the wood carvings and grand entrances this was truly a 5 star experience in beauty. The 3 pools that literally flow into each other and the pool size Jacuzzis are amazing. There are plenty of soft comfortable loungers and umbrellas. The Pool staff was attentive and there to pamper you with anything if you asked, they set up your chair with towels adjust or open the umbrella and even offer and bring you pillows for your head and legs OMG.. I can get real use to this kind of treatment. The grounds were taken care of daily and with such meticulous care. The food at the Restaurant was great the Fish tacos like everyone talks about were THAT good ! The beauty carried right out to the beach where there were no less than 10 cabanas and many more soft plush loungers. I am sure if the resort was in full swing it might be hard to impossible to get one, we had no problem it was like a one bedroom king size bed. The beach as stated is not swimmable but that was not important since we were all about walking the shores and taking in all the beauty that surrounded us. NO ho rise Hotels just Timeshare and All Inclusive Condos. Having this set up makes for a lot less crowds and solitude. We closed out every night when we got home after being out laying on the beds in the cabanas and just enjoying the air and tranquility of the Sea of Cortez. Words could not really describe the feeling. We had an ocean view 1 Bedroom in Building 6. we face the pools and Sunrise every morning (which rivaled any Sunset we have ever seen. The rooms are spacious and Huge with everything you need right down to dish soap. The cleanliness was contagious in our room and throughout the resort everyone was cleaning ( I hope this is the norm and not just Covid). The staff seemed Happy and always greeting you with Olah ! We have a timeshare in the US with Diamond Resorts, but after closing out our week here and overwhelmed by the beauty, the amazing staff Including the Sales staff ( thank you Jordan and Gabriel). The location and overall warm feeling we had , we switched our US timeshare to here at the Cabo Azul. I cannot say enough about the feeling we had here and so many more points I could make about the people and staff. We will now call this our Vacation Home. We have just scratched the surface of all the things to do in around this great stretch of the Baja Sur. We cannot wait to come back next year and I truly hope we have the same warmness and attentiveness next year when Covid leaves us, as we are all wanting a really true carefree vacation. Thanks to everyone at Cabo Azul for making memories that will surely last.…
