My wife and I have just spent a week at the Sand Pebble Hotel. The weather was pretty near perfect and our first visit to Hope Cove was very much a shot in the dark. Everything about this hotel impressed us. The room was clean neat and tidy and Sheila aka Fred was dutiful to the last detail. Even the...

We spent a night in this nice hotel, in the beautiful small village of Hope Cove. The location is lovely, few metres from the rocky beach and the breathtaking cliffs, where you can enjoy a view over the blue ocean and the relaxing green hills of England. Our room was clean and tidy and the staff was so kind and...

I booked online, when we arrived the young girl at the reception was very apologetic, she did not have access to a PC so didn't have a clue about it...She did however show us the rooms so we we let in... I think they only do spring cleaning, and they for sure had not done that in our room. I...

This place stunk. We booked for the weekend but left after the first night. Food was inedible and the staff were rude. Hope Cove is a lovely area, but avoid this hotel! Ive attached photos showing the general cleanliness (the lack thereof!). We complained to the hotel manager but was dismissed immediately.

Well have just spent the weekend at Sand Pebbles Hotel, Hope Cove South Devon. A superb weekend with excellent food, beautifully prepared and served. All the staff were very attentive, and so helpful. Something that really helps when one of the party is disabled! Hotel was even better than our last visit! Already booked our next visit.!

Very welcoming, great rooms especially the front ones we had out of season). Previous owners of the Hope and Anchor with a little more up market property and facilities. Rate was very fair, casual about credit cards, good b/fast and newspapers in small comfortable lounge and terrace. Food ok in the evenings although nothing special. Parking was great. Great welcome...

We stayed here for 4 nights from 29th December. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, and the view of the cove from the restaurant is breathtaking. The food in the restaurant is very good. Breakfast includes several hot options including a full English, and there are also several cereals available and toast. The evening meals are also of a...

This was our third stay at Sand Pebbles. So no guessing - we love the place. Being 'out of season' it was quiet. Ian and his staff did not let the standards slip. The room was clean, well heated and bed really comfortable. Despite being quiet the full menu was available in the restaurant, well cooked and presented. Thank you...
