This is a cheap hotel, one of the few with free parking since is very close to the cathedral, we took a 4 person room with 2 beds, is quite big, I understand that they cannot change the structure of the building and since this is a very antique hotel, the distribution is not the best, the bathroom is very... If you want to enjoy the downtown area and look for a very reasonable price, this is your place! Two blocks from Parian market, Rosario Chapel, main square, etc. It is true that it is litlle bit noisy, but remember, many if not most Mexicans do not mind noise, they even need it not to feel lonely. Rooms on the... More

The plumbing worked, the bed was very firm, the WiFi was good and I didn't have to climb stairs. A descent and very inexpensive hotel, I paid about 30 dollars for a night for a single person. At the desk, not via the Internet.

The hotel is nice in general but a very weak point is the breakfast. Just marmelade and butter with some toast bread slides. Staff a bit bored even though kind enough. Cleannes is not one of it's good points. If you have no problems with all these then it's a good place situated in the heart of the city center... More

This place is an older hotel that has a lot of character. Rooms are a little dark built around a central courtyard area which is quite common in Mexico. Staff are helpful, friendly and patient with my bad Spanish. It is a very short walk to the Zocalo and central area. Recommended.

I stayed at the hotel with an almost 80 y.o. friend who lives in Mexico and who has stayed here probably 10 times. He wanted one of the rooms facing the street (a choice most knowledgable travelers in Mexico would not make). We shared the room and I think the price was $540 per night for the two beds. The... If you want a hotel that is not an American chain and has a lot of traditional Mexican character, go here! Everything was clean and comfortable, and the staff (while did not speak much if any English) were very friendly. When was the last time you were walked up to your room by a guy who was proud to show... More

The imperial Hotel served my needs well. It was close to the the zocolo, making it easy to get two places of interest. Te hotel itself was basic and clean, but not a stand out. It was a a good value for the money.

This was our second stay at Hotel Imperial, and prices seem to have gone up a bit. The hotel is an older building. Rooms are decent size, with either a closet or a wardrobe, not luxurious but very clean. Rooms surround a central courtyard, and noise can reverberate, especially when school groups or teams are staying here, so earplugs come... More

We stayed here several months ago. The location is great. The room is clean and sunny with a nice view. It was also spacious. The price is reasonable (during the off season). They have onsite car parking. The best part about this was that we asked the right person, and asked if our dog could stay with us after explaining... More
