I spent 2 weeks in the Colonial a few years ago, and have spent a few days off and on since then. The Colonial is just steps away from the historic center of Puebla and many of the local attractions and restaurants, but just far enough away that it remains a quiet sanctuary -- at least until summer, when the...

Spent two nights at this very nice hotel. It was convenient. Rooms were reasonable and comfortable. The location was wonderful. The central square and shopping were a block away. Access was easy. Service was terrific and there was clear evidence of a willingness to help or answer questions. The restaurant was great for breakfast. Eatery options were plentiful surrounding the...

I left my passport, cash, and Tablet in the safe. I am very happy to report that it was waiting for me! The hotel is great for hanging out and eating! The Plaza is a great spot to walk around and people - watch. I'm returning on my way back from Oaxaca!

The hotel is well located a few short blocks from the zocalo. Our room was very large, had ceiling to floor doors which opened onto a small balcony, was very clean, and was quiet at night. I would recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a charming, locally owned hotel, as long as you don't need a hotel concierge...

I stayed for 2 nights here with a couple of friends, so we booked a room for 3 which was actually big, the place was clean, maybe the only drawback was that the matresses were old so they weren't that firm. Besides that everything was ok, the food at the restaurant was nice, it's perfectly located, and a bonus which...

I arrived with a small tour group. Our rooms weren't ready, so we were directed to go in to lunch. It was a set meal. There were two other tour groups, no individual customers. There seems to be a reason, but I'll go into that in a review of the restaurant. By the time lunch was over, more tour groups...

The family and I enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days at this hotel. Location is perfect. Parked and never had to get back into our vehicle. The TV did not work but with free internet our kids were happy. I'd suggest bring a pillow. We will be back!!

Based on TA reviews I decided to book Hotel Colonial de Puebla for a solo travel trip and I was not disappointed. I arrived late at night and the hotel staff was still gracious and helpful though it was in the middle of the night. Once the sun came up I was so excited to actually get to see this...

I have been staying at Hotel Colonial for several years and have never had a bad experience. The staff at the front desk as well as the bell staff are outstanding. The restaurant is excellent, even has a fireplace burning real wood in the winter months. The rooms on the first floor (second floor for Gringos) have a balcony and...

I've been staying at this hotel for years. It is in a great location and the rooms are nice and clean. Food is fantastic and surrounding restaurants are also really good. The roof top has a great view of the city and the volcano.
