The "charming" room for which we paid extra was extremely basic, small room, small bed, one hard chair and no view. Car park locked all afternoon, no check in before 5pm. Had to ask 3 times for gates to be opened in order to leave in the morning. When my husband went for an early (7.30 am) walk he had...

Somehow the hotel looks better in the official photos that it does in real life. The whole place has a "tired" look to it. It's also right next to a major road. The courtyard looks quite pleasant but not much use when it's freezing cold and there is a howling gale blowing up the Rhone. When we arrived we found...

Stopped here on way to the Med and enjoyed it tremendously-Mornas is a very attractive village with a spectacular fortress on the hill top and Le Manoir is a lovely old property making for an attractive stop for the evening. The room was very pleasant and cool which was very nice on a day when the temp was around 35c,...

After having begun our journey to Provence officially by choosing this hotel coming from the north, we were hoping for more friendly and typical French hospitality like one would imagine in other places. Not many could live up to Le Manoir. There is a lot of love for details in this romantic old building that really deserves the name "manoir"...

We stopped off at this hotel for two nights on our drive from the Aude back to Switzerland. The justification was a visit of the fortress sitting atop the limestone cliff which rears up behind the village. As we were making the booking (on the way south), we decided to stay two nights and to visit Avignon on our full...

We always time our 800 mile drive to arrive in Mornas at around 12.30 for lunch on the terrace. This year, the rain drove us all inside, but the food was as always excellent and excellent value. Ratatouille and runny poached egg followed by a beautiful cooked fillet of fish, washed down with well-priced wine by the glass. Service is...

We have now stayed here twice en route to Aix and have never been disappointed. This is a very good hotel with basic but comfortable rooms with everything you need for an overnight stay. You can book half board through Logis and this is well worth it as there is a good quality restaurant which serves brilliant meals accompanied by...

I'm sure that many visitors use Le Manoir as a very pleasant base from which to explore northern Provence or the south of Rhone-Alpes at a more leisurely pace. However, I would like to recommend it specifically to over-night travellers who are looking for something a bit different from the usual quick-stop options in France as they travel south. Mornas...

Pleasant hotel. No unnecessary pretending of fake luxury. Cosy rooms, restaurant and garden. Breakfast is good, you receive a personal tray with selection of foods. Pleasant hosts. Good restaurant, but not very cheap. Dinner menu for 30 eur is great, very tasty and looking nice, but not very filling. It's a pleasure to have coffee in the garden, but taste...

“The location of the hotel has been mentioned in other ereviews, don't be put off. In five nights I heard no traffic, and one train at 7.45am when I was already up and dressed. The village is a gem and well worth a wander! If you want a large room, go for no 2 it's wonderful. 3,4,5,6 10 and 16 are all extremely good too.”
