We booked a four night stay at Orton Hall, in the Clarendon Suite. This was a lovely, quiet restful stay. The apartment had everything we needed and was lovely and cosy. Great to come back to after a long day exploring! Orton is convenient for both the Lakes and the North Yorkshire dales, and the addition of Kennedy's Chocolate Factory...

What a smashing base to explore the lakes and surrounding area, and at the end of the day you come " home " Can't recommend highly enough. Lovely apartment, comfortable, homely, well equipped. The setting so restful, and watching the squirrels over breakfast was a delight

Got last minute weekend break and we loved it! Lovely apartment very clean and very well quipped. We visited local pub and cafe and chocolate factory! All great! No issues at all. Really well placed for visiting other areas in the lakes and Yorkshire dales or also perfect for staying local. We visited local pub and cafe and chocolate factory!...

This is a truly wonderful way to get away for a few days! We stayed in the Clarendon suite which offered accommodation of a very high standard...everything had been thought of. What a surprise! A modern apartment in an old Manor House in the village of Orton. Access to some of the old panelled hall to use billiard table etc. Prosecco and hand made choc so n arrival. Such a delightful weekend. We booked for the second weekend of the month when farmers market is on plus well supported coffee morning/...

Stayed in the Royalist Suite recently, very well equipped self-catering accommodation which was a short walk into the village of Orton. Lovely room and extensive grounds. Would highly recommend. Used as a base for some great walks in the Lakes over a long weekend.

My 4 nights in the Naseby suite were so enjoyable I hope to return some day. The perfect genuinely old property in a perfect village in a very beautiful corner of England. I couldn't fault it. I particularly appreciated the views through the mullioned windows across the lawns.

We stayed in the naseby suite, it's the second time we've stayed here (first was in clarendon suite). The suite again was virtually spotless, credit to the cleaner again, the only thing we found was the hot tap was loose, which if I'd of had a spanner I'd of tightened myself. For meals you can't beat " the black Swan"...
