This is my second visit to Whitbarrow this year and this much needed break was every bit as good as the one I had earlier in the year. It is a site that gives you the feelgood factor on arrival coupled with the warm welcome you always receive from the reception staff and Toni in particular puts you at ease... More

Can't fault the beautiful peaceful place, lovely and polite staff. Brought my friends here as a treat and they fell in love with it. The views are worth seeing and must be seen. You cannot come here and not see it!! Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Whitbarrow is very well placed for access to the northern Lake District. It is particularly handy for Blencathra and Ullswater. However, a word of warning: in December 2015 exceptionally heavy rain did a lot of damage to footpaths and bridges. It's as well to check with the Information centre in Keswick at the beginning of your stay. We did a... More

Our cottage was part of the original farm buildings and full of character (other apartments and houses are new but are attractive and in keeping with the setting). Bar and restaurant are very good. Did not try the pool. Half way between Penrith and Keswick so well located for visiting the Lakes... More
