First and foremost we are backpack style travelers, we like to do things on the cheap but splurged a little because our stay was an RCI exchange given to us by a family member. Arrived via taxi, check-in went smooth, didn't really care that we did not get an ocean view room because we did not plan to spend much...

We stayed in a 2 bedroom for a week (December 21 - 28, 2008). First of all, please listen to all of us about the timeshare sell. DO NOT DO IT, unless you have 3.5 - 4 hours of your vacation time to waste to receive 3,000 peso credit to your room. When you arrive at the airport it was...

Nov 23 - Nov 28 We did an RTI exchange in order to join up with other family members who have a timeshare at the Mayan. We booked a two bedroom ahead of time. When we arrived, we were able to change to our preference - a one bedroom suite with a hotel room adjoining. My sister was interested in...

Upon booking hotel with Mayan Group timeshare I told them I needed a wheelchair accessible room with roll-in shower. "No problem" I was told and proceeded to book it. I then confirmed that these provisions were in fact correct directly with the conceirge desk via e-mail at the Mayan Palace. Twice I was told this was a fact. Imagine our...

Nov 14-21, 2008 Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta Mexico We arrived at resort around 3pm. Asked for an ocean view and high floor. We were on an SFX exchange and they stated resort was full but could probably accommodate us the next day if we wanted to check. We were assigned room 1420 ( fourth floor of main blue building, to...

My sister and I stayed at the Mayan Palace, Nuevo Vallarta for one week in Nov. 2008, then we spent a second week at the MP in Puerto Vallarta. Both had beautiful grounds, meticulously maintained. In fact, there seemed to be more staff than were needed. We thought MP Puerto Vallarta was better designed. MP Nuevo required a great deal...

We bought into Mayan Palace 6 years ago on the Mayan Riviera (gorgeous but remote). Since then we have stayed at the Marina Vallarta MP (fabulous and easy to get to PV) and now Nuevo Vallarta MP (VERY inconvenient travel to PV unless you don't mind spending $120-160 pesos every time you go between the resort and PV.). (We also...

We just returned from the Mayan Palace this week. Our stay was from Saturday Nov 8 to Thursday Nov 13. We booked the resort and traveled with another couple who did an exchange through RCI. The ultimate reason for the trip was to see our son get married on the beach in Sayulita where we spent an additonal glorious 5...

Traveling to the Mayan Palace was one one the biggest dissapointments of my life. I actually allowed my home resort, which is a nice one, convince me that I should go there pursuant to an understanding between the two resorts. I expected an equal value exchange. I was very foolish. I was hoping for the best for my family and...
