It's not often you arrive at a pub wearing dirty clothes from being away in the Peak District, with a dog, no reservation and walk into a pub in The Michelin Guide. In fact the only thing I was looking for was is the chihuahua was welcome. Yes he was. The service was impeccable, slightly formal, but friendly and the...

Had a 1 night stay at the Devonshire Arms. We arrived and were told we were not able to check in till 3pm, which was fine as lots to do round and about. We were a little apprehensive as since having booked the hotel a few reviews had since been written that weren't too great. The room we had was...

The Devonshire Arms in Beeley offer good food and accommodation. The menu is quite small but offers enough choice and I particularly enjoyed the cured beef with tapenade - The ham hock and piccalilly was also pretty good.

We had a lovely weekend even though the weather was very wet. A charming hotel with good food and friendly and helpful staff. Our room was lovely and we were able to take our dog. The surrounding countryside is very pretty and the proximity to Chatsworth is brilliant. We are already booked to return!

We stayed overnight and had dinner in the hotel. The room was super, spacious, spotless and comfy bed. Nice touches like luxury biscuits and ground coffee. The meal was good not exceptional but good gastro pub standard. Good service from a charming young waitress. We ate in the bar which was fine and probably where i would have picked but,...

A very disappointing visit. This restaurant trades on its name and location. There is no understanding of good service: we were given little time to drink our pre-dinner drinks - olives arrived with the starters, the main course arrived too promptly and they did not take our wine order. We asked for a side of fries and were told they...

I stayed here with my mother, as part of a tour around the UK to see castles. Chatsworth was to be the highlight and I wanted to maximize the experience by staying two nights in the area. The Devonshire Arms promotes itself as luxury accommodation on the Chatsworth Estate. In reality, it is overpriced lodgings in a village a few...

We were so looking forward to our stay at the Devonshire Arms at Beeley. The rooms are great but for a four star and the price you pay, the restaurant was not good at all. We were left at our table for half an hour with no one offering us anything!! They were understaffed and it was not a pleasant...

We had a fabulous stay for my boyfriends birthday. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfy. All the little extras in the room were much appreciated, especially the treacle biscuits! We had a delicious 3 course meal and the service was excellent. The breakfast choice was really good and also very tasty. The location is perfect for...
