We were visiting Chatsworth House en route to our ultimate destination & wanted somewhere to stay for just one night. The Devonshire Arms popped up in the search engines. Perhaps a little pricey for a country pub, we thought, but was ideally located for our purpose. However, this turned out to be so much more than a country pub &...

Lovely accommodation close to Chatsworth House. Nice clean room, comfortable bed, filter coffee and nice teas, bottled water in room. Breakfast was special. Would recommend to friends and would love to visit again.

The hotel room (in one of the village cottages) was charming, well equipped and very comfortable. Standards of housekeeping were excellent. However, the wifi signal was poor to non-existent, which was quite an issue for us. The food, at both dinner and breakfast, was of a very high standard - well cooked and well presented. The waiting staff were charming....

Hi Hilary, Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. We are currently looking at ways to improve our wifi, although I am sorry that this was a negative for you during your stay. Again, please accept my apologies regarding the speed of service. This is not usually an issue for us but it is one I will continue...

The quality of the food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. The staff were all charming and went out of their way to be helpful. HOWEVER there appeared to be no sign of proper management control. 14 of us booked in many months ago for a two day break. Despite this, nobody seemed to be aware that we were...

What a lovely place in a wonderful setting! The staff were very helpful - lady in charge, very friendly and helpful (not sure of here name). She made it very easy for us as we had our dog Alfie. The dog joined us for dinner. Lovely food and a comfortable room! Breakfast was first class - bacon was super! Thanks...

Had really high hopes after reading other reviews and a personal recommendation from a family member who had stayed here before. But we were sadly disappointed with the service we received. Although the pub was in a fantastic location and was warm and cozy inside, the brasserie restaurant lacked warmth and ambience. The staff were uninterested to say the least...

Had the most amazing time this weekend thanks to The Devonshire Arms @ Beeley. Yesterday we arrived, picked up our tickets to Chatsworth House and gardens. The sun shone all day and we had a fabulous time 🌞 after visiting the farm shop we came back to the pub to check in. We were shown to a beautiful suite (the...

We've been going to the Devonshire Arms for quite some time. Over the years we've found that the standards have been maintained and even improved upon. The rooms in the pub are quirky and aren't the biggest but they do fit in with the setting. For the first time this stay found us in the Brookside rooms and these are...

Just back from one night stay at the Devonshire Arms Beeley, we were expecting great thing after reading other reviews, we Booked a deluxe room which was quite nice but very small, the shower is next to useless as it does not have enough pressure to spray more than a slow pour and almost impossible to get sufficiently wet, my...

We went for Sunday lunch as guests at a friend's special birthday celebration and twelve of us ate in the Malt Vault. This was not as big as it sounds, but was a comfortable space up to the side of the bar. We ordered drinks while we gathered (my pint was a hard choice between Thornbridge Jaipur, Timothy Taylor's and...
