We visited this pub as part of the real ale scene and I was totally surprised. It was bigger than I thought with a brilliant atmosphere, friendly people and great bar selection. There also do food which seems extremely popular and many had dogs on the premises too which I loved This was one of those pubs which you would...

Came in for my dad birthday meal , the manager was very arrogant when we sat for our meal we then had to wait one hour for the meal to arrive , and when it finally arrived they had got the orders wrong . The food wasn't anything special , so we shall not be returning and we will won't...

This is our local pub which we have always loved. What's happened. We went for a tea time drink. No music, smells of bleach, no atmosphere, no customers. Such a shame as always been such a lovely place

We stayed in the flat the pub has and when we had overflow then they stayed in the b&b. What a great time we had. The beers from this excellent boozer are legendary, Ten immaculately kept beers and all at sensible prices. The pub food is first class and the Landlord and his team friendly helpful and they could not...

We ended a country walk at this beautiful pub and were delighted at the quality and generosity that the kitchen puts into their food, in particular the Ploughman's platter. The staff are very helpful and friendly.

We stayed for two nights in the Burns room. A small room but with a very comfortable bed providing a really good night's sleep. The breakfasts were great and the evening meals were wonderful. I had the rump steak which was one of the best I have ever had and my partner loved the steak pie. The staff and the...

Had evening food here the barmaid was very friendly, even offered to add extra lime in our drinks if needed. The food was nice, had the veggie chilli, mild option, but was quite hot, the gallium I salad was a bit heavy on the onions, but has potential.

This pub is in an amazing location away from the hustle and bustle of life, great choice of ales and selection of food. We popped over on a Monday and it was very busy, this wasn't over crowded but warm and atmospheric and is obviously doing better than ever before. It's great to see so many people enjoying ales, food,...

We visited early January with adult family, the pub its self is nice, 'olde worldy' in a lovely part of the country. the beer was good and we thought we had discovered a little gold mine for our next visits. However, looking closer, we found the glasses, plates, and table wear grubby which was a bit off putting. The food was...

We are sorry that your visit to us was so disappointing, my wife and I have taken on the management of the Old Poets from late in January and we are working very hard to make your initial impression of the pub into the one you leave with. I would be very sorry if you missed the opportunity to see...
