Spent an amazing night here. A secret location in Spain that shouldn't be a secret. The food in the restauarant is unbelievable. The atmosphere, the location, the service, and not to mention the food are all outstanding. DO NOT visit this part of Spain without going for a meal here. You will regret it if you don't go here, easily...

We have been staying with some friends at their villa near Velez Blanco. They suggested an evening meal at Casa Joya as they had been there several times themselves. Wonderful choice. The building is perched on a hillside and is accessed by a small dirt road, which can lead you to believe you have taken a wrong turn. There are...

A very unusual place, in the most beautiful setting. Small and quite intimit. Went for lunch with friends which was a very good idea as the little road off the main road is a bit rough, I wouldn't recommend using it in the dark. You could however have dinner there and stay over in one of the guest rooms. Food...

We went for a birthday party with 11 others and hired all five bedrooms. The access road is pretty rough but the hotel is set in a beautiful location so worth the journey. This renovated finca has been very well decorated with memorabilia depicting the proprietors background. James, the chef, was previously at a famous London restaurant and mary, his...

Eight of us went to Casa Joya to celebrate my husband's 80th birthday yesterday. What a fabulous lunch we had - first class. Mary and James made us really welcome. Four of us stayed overnight and the apartments are beautiful. Had a great sleep in a very comfy bed. Casa Joya is situated in such a quiet and peaceful location....

Been going here for years, must be the most consistent restaurant anywhere. First class food always freshly cooked. Sunday lunch is a must. This is not a cram them in, feed them and get rid of them. A meal takes about 3 hours, enjoy it. I have not come across better food at these prices anywhere. Mary and James really...

We were taken to Casa Joya yesterday by a couple of new friends, Pat & Chris, who know the place, and the hosts, very well. We weren`t really sure where we were being taken but know the general area. After a dusty and slightly bumpy ride we arrived at this wonderful place tucked well away in the mountains not far...

It was my daughter's birthday and we wanted something special. We were told to look at Casa Joya. What a great referral. We live in the UK but we've had a villa in San Miguel de Salinas for twenty years and have some great local restaurants in both countries. Casa Joya is not just special, it's superb. The food prepared...

OK, because these folks are good friends of ours I have, so far, refrained from commenting. But, what the hell, they are the best restaurant we have come across in 11 years in Spain and we love them! If you fund a better one - we want to know!
