We were really disappointed with our visit to this hotel. We stayed two nights, one of which was on a winter deal which included a five course taster menu evening meal and tea and cake on arrival. On arrival we were served tea and cake, the cake was best forgotten. Dinner was equally disappointing. I was expecting a taste experience but...

Lovely and friendly atmosphere, the staff are friendly too. I have to have a dairy free diet, and they advised me on all food. Lovely! It was our wedding anniversary, which made it special thank you to all the staff involved

Searched online for place to stay overnight with our dog- so pleased I found The Manor. Lovely decor, large comfortable room , tea / coffee and cake on arrival. Enjoyed the 5 course tasting menu for dinner, and good choice at breakfast next morning. Service was relaxed so felt comfortable in this family run hotel.

An excellent "middle of the road" small hotel. Food was surprisingly delicious with two young and clearly adventurous chefs. Staff could not have been more helpful and courteous. Great value for money and in a good location to access the rest of the New Forest.

My wife and I were bought an afternoon tea at the Manor which we were really looking forward to. The afternoon tea for two consisted of eight finger sandwiches between us, one scone each and two backed each. The coffee (I had coffee instead of tea) was week instant coffee and the cream to have with the scone was whipped....

Sunday lunch. A major disappointment. The glasses and water carafe on the table were dirty. They had evidently been washed, but were covered in smears and limescale spots. Nothing that wouldn't have been solved with the customary wipe with a clean cloth when setting the table, but clearly too much trouble. The food was patchy. As an example, the dessert...

We were greeted on arrival by a young lady who took our coats and showed us to our table. The large dining room was well laid out, clean, warm and tastefully decorated. The same young lady was our waitress who looked after us well throughout our visit. The food was rather "cheffie" but well presented and delicious although we would...

Our room was clean and very comfortable with a view over the gardens. I'm not sure whether the really comfortable bed or the super sized bath was the best thing about the room. The breakfast wasn't cheap but it was delicious. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. I'd certainly like to stay here again.

Really enjoyed our overnight stay here in Sway. When we arrived the lobby smelt of Christmas with a beautiful tree and candles. A great start. We were offered tea in the drawing room free of charge. Lovely tasteful modern room facing the garden. I'd love to come in summer when the outdoor pool is open. We had an upgraded room....
