This lodge was quite dated but in a fantastic location, overlooking the river and right in town. Despite being dated it was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the price was right.

Needs to upgrade TV's and programming for those days when the weather is not great. The location is fantastic. So close to everything. The walking paths are great. Hotel is older but clean. We had a family suite and it was nice to close the door to the kids room

Need to replace the mattress in the room, lumpy and hard. Ask the maid to wash the bath tub, it appeared to be greasy! The voucher is not worth the visit to The Terrace Restaurant in Banff Park lodge we go to Touloulou or others to have a better meal. Over all the the did a nice voucher for the...

I have been coming to the Bowview for many years. I have stayed in other hotels but always return here because it is the 'best' for me. The location, staff, value and overall experience is why I return and will continue to do so.

Hotel and room were clean and comfortable for 4 adults to stay. Centrally located in Banff for quick and easy access to many restaurants, bars, shopping and galleries. Situated right next to the river for beautiful views and pathways for walking. Great value! Will definitely consider returning for another stay when next in Banff.

The Bow View offers an affordable accommodation for those wanting to stay in the Banff area and be within walking distance of the main street, shops and restaurants. It was clean but the rooms and furnishings are dated. The staff was friendly and accommodating and it was nice to have access to the main lodge steam room and dining area....

If all you need is a bed to sleep in, this place will do the job. The rooms are on the small side and fairly dated, but clean and comfortable. The neighbouring Banff Park lodge provides shared amenities.

This 60s style motel is simple, basic and yet fantastic. Some rooms view the Bow River-a fantastic treat. Good rates, comfortable rooms and a couple of minutes walk to the core area of pubs, shops and restaurants of Banff. Best thing is that staying there is access to the pool and laundry of next Banff Park Lodge. I stay at...

Birthday getaway We had booked one night at this Banff hotel to celebrate my husband's birthday. At check-in we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to the river view suite. What a beautiful large room! We truly enjoyed being able to relax in this recently redecorated space. The view is perfect from this room. We enjoy staying in this hotel...

Was a lovely stay at a decent price. The front desk people were great and were very efficient with the check in. The location is one of the best in Banff. With so many changes in the world and Banff it is lovely to stay at place that has maintained a nostalgic charm. Would recommend it and plan to stay...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for this question. Yes, within Canada's National Parks (including Banff) you are responsible for paying park admission fees. However, as other posters have noted, as 2017 is Canada's 150 anniversary, park admission is free. Please visit the Parks Canada site for more information.

We look forward to welcoming you to Banff and please remember to contact us directly for guaranteed best rates!

Warm regards,

Hello,

Most of our balconies are shared, but do have a bar that acts as a divider. We do have a few rooms that have private balconies. When you make your reservation you can request a private balcony and we will do our best to accomodate this.

Hello,

We are currently looking into replacing some of the TV's in our guest rooms. Some of our suites have already been upgraded to flat screen TV's.
