Stayed here for 1 night between a trip to Jasper and Calgary. From the street you can tell the hotel has been there for a while and maybe not the most trendy on the this stretch but when you get inside you'll find a very welcoming and friendly staff along with classic lodge style architecture that never goes out of...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights on our driving holiday of the Rocky Mountains. We stayed in a spacious room (251) with a king bed, TV, lounge, desk, large gas fireplace, air conditioner, mini fridge, microwave, tea/coffee maker, large bathroom with a double spa bath and a balcony. The room was at the rear of the hotel...

My wife and I stayed 1 night at the High Country Inn last week as our daughter was having surgery at the hospital in Banff. The front desk staff was very pleasant and the check in/out process was quick and easy. We had a king room with mountain view. This room was on the 2nd floor and faced Banff Ave....

Banff is not very big but still this hotel has the advantage of being on easy walking distance from the town centre. The entire hotel is clad in somekind of eighties brown and beige styling. In some parts this makes it a bit gloomy (like in the breakfast room). But the room was maintained well, everything worked and really clean....

My wife and I spent two nights here on our recent trip. The room was a good size and was very clean. The hotel has reasonable facilities and the breakfast was a limited continental style. While the hotel is not in the main area of Banff, if is only a 5-10 minute walk away, so not an issue. Staff were...

Friendly staff, able to park underneath with elevator to floor. Balcony overlooked Banf Ave. Room on second floor. Two queen beds. Close to everything Banf has to offer. Clean. Had fridge and ironing board. Ice machine always an added plus. Continental breakfast had a good selection with an excellent fresh fruit salad. Would stay again.

The hotel is perfectly located in a short walking distance from Banff downtown. The employees were nice but it can be discussed if it's good service when we had to go down to reception from the third floor 2 times before getting access to the room. They couldn't get the keys to work and the next day we had the...

Hotel is a walk away from shops and restaurants. Included breakfast had a reasonable selection. We stayed here for 5 nights in a suite that had two queen beds. We thought it had a pull out in the main room but it was a queen bed; we would have preferred to have a sofa than to have to sit on the bed. Otherwise the room had a small dining table with chairs, a microwave and...

The High Country Inn is one of a group of moderately-priced hotels along Banff Avenue in this popular tourist town of 8000 in Alberta's Rocky Mountains. Built about 30 years ago, this inn is close to the shopping, dining/drinking, and entertainment areas of Banff without being right in the centre of the "action". The rooms in the High Country are...
