Pros: Amy is amazingly hospitable as are her other staff. Breakfast is always great, and Amy will always find something to feed you regardless of your dietary restrictions. Rooms are quaint and clean. Great value for what you get. Cons: Breakfast is served from 8-9am, so if you want to leave for skiing (or whatever) early, you won't get a...

I cannot rate this place highly enough. We stayed here for four days and received the best service possible.Rob, Amy and Nicky are the dream team! Rooms were immaculate with the most comfortable beds we've ever slept in; bathrooms were impeccably clean and the rooms were always warm (which is important when it's -19 outside!). The breakfast was delicious and...

Stayed here over Christmas and couldn't have asked for more! Everyone was super helpful, food was amazing and our room was clean, tidy and had everything we needed. Shared bathroom was constantly kept clean with fresh bath matts each day and refills on soaps and toilet rolls. Already booked our second stay for Easter and can't wait! 100%!

This B & B is located on a quiet residential street, only a few blocks from the main visitor areas. Parking is at a premium, on street and in backyard, but free. Comfortable and a lot less expensive thanthe hotels downtown,. Also, the breakfast is very good.

The guesthouse is only 3 streets from the main street in Banff in a quiet residential area. It was kept warm inside during the cold weather we experienced whilst we were in Banff. Our room was comfortable and clean with a generous sized bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with a different cooked option each day. We were welcomed to help ourselves...

-kind of old building but repainted wall and clean facilities -cozy room -convenient location, close to the center of downtown -good breakfast with egg dishes -very friendly and kind staff

Considering the location, and the cost of other options in the area, this was a very good place. The good: The Inn was very generous to let us cancel our second night 3 days before our booking (since we had some family offer to host us on the second night.) The breakfast was exceptional. Homemade, fresh and unique. The price...

A lovely historic property, the Rocky Mountain B&B is well-run. It's a comfortable place to stay; the prices are very reasonable and there is an excellent hot breakfast in the morning. Muffins and bread for toasting are always available, as well as tea and coffee, so if you need a late night snack, you can fix it for yourself. The...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are an intimate high-country inn situated three blocks east of Banff Avenue on Otter Street in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The building dates from 1907 and has 10 guest rooms and a gorgeous main lounge and dining room. We use excellent ingredients, serve locally roasted organic coffee and vary our menu daily. This historic mountain home is warm and spacious. It was used extensively in the '30s by CPR work crews as a boarding house. For the following forty years it was known as Douglas House and served as tourist accommodation. The Inn was fully restored in the late '80s and has had recent renovations to maintain its original character and substantial mountain charm. We have four suites, which suit small families, as well as simple and elegant double rooms. Our dining room and lounge are open to guest use during the day and there is a television in the lounge. We have private off-street parking to accommodate guests with vehicles. However, once you are in Banff many activities and walks are accessible by foot from the B&B. ... more   less
