We loved this area and hotel - quite stunning.
The lake itself is even better than the wonderful photos and staying at the hotel avoids the traffic and parking problems to get in and out.
The lodges are very welcoming and blend in well.
My fiancee and I visited here and had an amazing time. The concierge helped us pick the right activities and hikes in the area and were more than accommodating. The guided hike included is a must and so are the naturalist talks in the library....More
stayed at the Moraine Lake Lodge for 4 days in September 2017, the setting is simply stunning, just so beautiful. We found ourselves often just standing on the lakeside gazing off into the distance, the scenery forever changing based on time of the day, weather...More
Moraine Lake will be forever etched on my consciousness and the Lake Moraine Lodge was the perfect setting for access to this spectacle. There are many walks nearby, of varying distances and degrees of difficulty. We're in our mid-60s and found 7 to 8 klms...More
So glad we managed one night at this superb hotel in a magnificent setting, wish it could have been more.

The day we arrived, the access road was closed to all except guests at the hotel because it was all parked up so, yes, unless you want to get there very early, this is a good way to be assured of parking. The hotel car park is a little small and the spaces tight but you are right on the lake.

We brought our 9-year-old son last summer and it was fine, but they don't cater to children. They say on the website they cannot accommodate children under the age of 8. With all the noise from the tourists in the lake all day though, I'm not sure why they don't allow young kids to stay there. It is a beautiful place and we plan to return, but we've learned this isn't a place for peace and quiet!!
