We were a group of 16, and booked 8 months in advance. For US $5500 we got 3 'dorm' rooms and 2 'double' rooms for 8 nights. A dorm room has 4 bunk beds and a loft bed. The doubles also have a loft bed. It works out to US $43/person/night. Usually a hotel room is priced for two people,...

Enjoyed our stay at the hostel. Clean and comfortable. Liked the flexibility to prepare our own breakfast and dinner. The staff was friendly. Had booked dorm beds for 4, but was given a small private room with a loft. It was nice, but the stairs to get to the loft are not for the faint of heart. The Peyto Cafe...

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. It is nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have had a few complaints about some of our mattress and we are in the process of dealing with the situation.

We don't usually stay in hostels, but this turned out to be a very nice stay. We had a private room with shared bath, very reasonable for the area. Our room was very basic, good wi-fi and the shared kitchen and dining area was great. There was a nice TV room. The restaurant attached was excellent. If you don't want...

OK, the private room is a bit pricey for the budget traveller, but it's much cheaper than any other accommodation in the area. The propane BBQ and kitchen are so great-- saves you a ton of money, and now they have the Bill Peyto restaurant on site it's even more tempting to drop your cash there. The rooms are clean...

Friendly, accommodating, flexible, clean and safe ... exactly what every hostel should thrive to be. Even though the wifi's a bit spotty in certain areas and that it's a bit of a walk (though quite pleasant) to the lake (there's a free shuttle at the mall during the high seasons though).

This is a nice hostel in a great location with some really friendly staff. Various social activities were offered, including a guided hike, which we undertook. Our guide, Chelsea, was great fun and made our day very enjoyable. The private room was a little snug and had rather thin walls, but the washing facilities, kitchen and social areas were excellent....

we have visited this location several times and sad to say this time was a bit of a disappointment. the staff was not quite as friendly as times past and seemed to need some minor repairs. power cords were not working correct and loosing power if you bumped it and the first room appeared dark. the second room was better,...

I stayed at the HI for 7 nights during early summer and loved it. It has two buildings and I stayed in both of them, because I prolonged my stay after the first 4 nights and had to switch rooms. Both houses have a kitchen and of course showers and washrooms. I liked the rooms in the second building best...

Lovely location, staff, amenities and in-house restaurant. Only complaint is noise - walls are paper thin so bring a good pair of ear plugs if you like to sleep at night. Room, bathrooms and communal areas nice and very clean. Overall we would stay here again as it is great value for money for the area.

Great hostel, friendly staff, very clean rooms, beds and sheets. Great price for the area. Theres a good restaurant/cafe inside it, where you can have a good breakfast or grab something to eat by the end of a long day. The cons is the small sized and not very good draining system of the bathroom.
