I stayed for five nights and was in the hotel a lot given our professional workshop was held in the hotel, so I was able to see the amenities, staff, facilities, etc. in depth. I have no complaints. It is a clean, friendly, quiet place that is great for a small business or professional workshop right on site, as they...

I liked my stay at the Hotel Alma, very clean , very organized. When i checked in my room wasnt ready but they checked my bags and i was on with my day. I got back to the hotel later, my room was ready and they had upgraded my room from a one bedroom to a two bedroom. Which was...

Dear Jessalyn K, we appreciate you taking the time to review Hotel Alma and we are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. The apartment type you booked was a Global Village room which is not part of Hotel Alma but resides in the same building. Those are student apartments during the school year and are...

I booked the Hotel Alma through "Hotwire.com" and there were a few things that should have been mentioned : 1/ The booking via Hotwire only applies to student rooms that have been vacated for the summer. Those rooms have one 'double' bed and are quite small. 2/ Parking is $10 more and there are no alternatives to paying as there...

Hello allbwell, and thank you for your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and found our property to be clean and secure. To clarify on some of the points you mentioned; although it occupies the same building, Global Village (the student residence floors) are not part of Hotel Alma and you mentioned are available during the summer time...

We loved this hotel. I think boutique hotel is the way to go. Hotel Alma is a hidden gem in Calgary. Not your typical hotel and not everyone is going to like it because of its room size, but I think it's the way to go. Pros: Location, on University of Calgary campus, close to C Train station Room was...

Fool me twice. I don't think so! This is rated as an upscale boutique hotel in Calgary. The only good thing is the location. It's actually a converted dormitory. The beds are awful. Lots of students learning about the hospitality industry. Trying real hard. Both my colleague and I stayed there on different occasions. Never again! Call it what it...

I would recommend this hotel to anyone attending a conference at the University. It's clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the best part, it's a 5 minute walk to your conference the next morning! It includes a breakfast, and there's a little convenience store in the lobby, and laundry facilities, so would be great for families too.

Hotel Alma bills itself as a boutique hotel with spacious rooms and suites. I just had a standard room and it was tiny - clearly these are old dorm/university residence rooms. That said the staff are very pleasant. The food at the Bistro was excellent. Also, there is a lot packed into the small space - just travel light. The...
