The two nights my friend and I spent here mark our second time in Dawson, staying at the Whitehouse Cabins. This lodging offers myriad benefits. It's small enough that the big groups from cruise ship land-and-sea tours can't be accommodated. It's just far enough out of town, on Front Street (bordering the Yukon River), that you're surrounded by lawns and...

after traveling around camping through alaska and driving the top of the world highway, i decided to stay at the whitehouse cabins for a bed to sleep in. i got cabin 2 and it was comfortable with 3 beds available which would make it an excellent deal with 3 people sharing, full kitchen (love the old timer tin cupboards and...

Whitehouse Cabins on the edge of town offers a number of accommodation options - tents, rustic cottages, efficiency units in the heritage building. However, the best is the Gold Rush Cabin. This comfortable and well appointed cabin is worth the extra cost for your stay in Dawson City. The cabin is suitable for two people and has all the amenities...

It was raining when we got to Dawson, and we'd been camping for a week, so having a night with real beds seemed a good idea. Our friends got the last cabin (Goldminer's, from 1896 but beautifully appointed inside) and we took the walled tent (Trapper's). Also very comfortable, and (the best bit from my husband's point of view), it...

We stayed for 3 nights in room 4 in the Heritage Building.Initially we tried for the main cabin(look for other reports on this cabin as it looked surrounded by trees and a haven for mosquitoes etc) but it was booked and we understood this was our next best option. Perhaps it was, but personally we felt that it was the...

We stayed in the miners & trappers tents with 3 adults & 3 children for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The tents are beautifully appointed, with very comfortable beds. It's a short walk to town, the owners are friendly and very helpful and the cooking facilities were great! I highly recommend Whitehouse Cabins!

We spent a couple of nights here. The places are basic but very clean and the owner is very friendly. Just on the outskirts of town. Worth checking out. We stayed in the 4 plex, older building so of course you will hear the people above you, but I would stay there again.

I cannot say enough good things...this place is GORGEOUS. I was lucky enough to be in the gold rush cabin, which was hands down better then anywhere ive ever stayed...including cushy hotels in vegas, mexico, Jamaica etc. It is cozy, comfortable and fully equipped with everything you may need. The claw foot tub is to die for and the bed...

We stayed three nights in May 2015 and loved every bit of it, one of our favourite accommodations and area on our cross Canada tour. The weather was beautiful, +30 on May 24. I had emailed and spoken to Doug a couple times regarding our reservation and everything was perfect on arrival. We rented the river cabin with the door...

We reserved a room in the Heritage House for two separate nights. From the outside it looked like published on the website. It looked nice. On our first night our room preference was not honored although we had a confirmation for that. On the second stay it was honored. The rooms are quite spacious. The rooms were clean except on...
