This hotel is in the best spot for Harrison Lake by far. Our first 2 nights were in the West Wing on the top floor and was a great spot with great views of the lake. Front desk personnel were friendly and the waits are not long even though it was very busy with check ins and check outs. Check in time is four which is really late when you are paying $300 . Small lumpy pillows so bring your own. There are no trolleys to take your luggage as you either take things yourself or have to get a bellman. We took the stairs to the 6th floor for exercise so it was a workout. The room was quiet, clean and the bathroom was nicely updated with stone floors , and a new sink area. The shower was great but the teeny tiny hairdryer was a joke especially if you have hair longer than your EAR. Dogs are seemingly allowed on any floor so be prepared for annoying small dog syndrome yapping. The spa pools were amazing and the pool areas are beautiful. Checkout is 11 but you can use the pools until 1pm. Don't lose your wristband or you will be charged $20 to replace it. We decided to spend another night and were told there was only "one room left" in the East tower but it was $400. For that price we expected it to be amazing but other than a larger badly designed space it wasn't worth it. The bathroom was massive enough that you could fit 6 people in the shower and another 6 in the sink area. Total waste of space. The sink was older, old gold tap and tiny showerhead in the gargantuan shower. We had a rainfall shower head in a small bathroom at a cheap hotel. There was also another teeny tiny hairdryer that worked worse than the $300 room. The $400 room had a king size bed with four tiny lumpy pillows, I bring my own so I suggest everyone else does also. The carpet was new and cushy but there was no wifi internet. When I called the front desk they actually said "some rooms don't have internet " I said for $400 I don't have wifi? She answers "it is a complimentary service". Rediculous. One worker came by to our room to move us but had the wrong room and had a badge on saying low wages etc. She said every room should have internet and that the union was asking for a $2 an hour raise and the owner is ignoring it. They deserve it , they should all walk out. The grounds are beautiful, lobby is really nice, and the hotel has a very large parking lot with no extra charge .

The pools are nice and the restaurant staff are nice but the check-in staff were not very helpful and did not provide important information about parking and the Covid rules. Turns out that rooms are not made up while you are there and room supplies are therefore not replenished. Also room was meant to have robes and ours did not. Had to call down for them and none of the hotel service numbers was answered despite multiple tries. Did get them in the end. When I called down about getting room supplies replenished was when I found out that one had to call for them. A notice in the room would have been nice or perhaps being told at check-in. The operator was very rude and condescending when I called down to see why the room was not made up. How were we to know? Tell us at check-in or leave a note in the room.

We had a room with no balcony it was basic but did the job. T here was three of us and had to send for extra towels and robes. they were there within about 10 minutes . check in was good check out was quick and the bill was accurate. there was five pools open all of them different temperatures and the whole experience was very nice. we will be back... impressed.

No masks used by staff or clients. In the past Maintenance was never good but little has been has reduced over Covid. We go for the Hot pools and they are always great. As staffing levels go up again it will improve

Unfortunately it was below my expectations. Upon arrival mine and my friends'(traveling with young children) rooms were not ready at check-in time, they said they will call when it is ready. There was nothing offered to make up for the late check-in. In past experiences hotels will often offer a complimentary drink or snack in the bar while waiting, even if you're only waiting a few minutes. I wasn't directed as to where I could get refreshments while waiting and found that the cafe was not even open at that time. It was about an hour after check-in time until our rooms were ready. Once I got up to my room, I found it was dirty. Hair in the bathroom, white goo on the mini-fridge door, lots of dust on the coffeemaker and dirt/sand on some of the furniture (bench & chairs). I quickly changed for dinner (because the kids needed to eat asap), and on the way out to dinner I stopped by the front desk to ask to have housekeeping revisit the room to address this issue. The front desk staff member apologized and said they would get someone in there while I was out for dinner. Upon return I found that the room was still dirty so I called housekeeping directly and asked to have someone come. We went down to the pool, which was nice. Upon return I found they had not come to clean. At this point I was very tired and didn't have the energy to deal with it again that night. There were lots cobwebs in the hallways and the windows are in dire need of cleaning (hard to enjoy the beautiful view with dirty windows). Despite the dirt, the room was comfortable but in need of updating. Another small thing that gets under my skin is that they never said parking wasn't included. Signage in the parking lot says register your vehicle and when registering my vehicle I wasn't told the fee for parking, I also asked if I can park later than check out and was told hotel parking was good until 1pm. After checkout I received a bill for parking. Not a big deal but this is another thing that left a bad taste in my mouth. I can understand that many places are having staffing shortages and are struggling to keep up with demand now that restrictions have been lifted. The shortfall comes in the breakdown of communication. If check-in will be late please inform me (ahead of time if possible), if it is going to be more than an hour you should offer something for the guests to make up for this inconvenience. If the guest says the room is dirty and you say you will send housekeeping, you should actually do it. The cost per night for this hotel does not meet the reality of what you get. I won't be staying here again.
