This motel is basic but adequate for a night. The guy at reception was just in a rush didn’t bother answer my simple dumb guest question. They are easy going, just the aircon was too noisy but had to be on due to the heat. Even on fan/humidifier mode it was a drone noise bring ear plugs. Okay if you’re deep sleeper. People sit outside for a smoke on the ground floor chairs I saw, they seem to stay permanently. Parking within motel lane is $5 extra but worth it perhaps for safety otherwise can park on street. Was clean but tiny bathroom. We got the two beds, they are not large to be honest. Overall get what you pay for! Building works in progress, so noisy in morning.
Although this is an older motel, rooms were very clean, super comfy beds/pillows with fresh white linens. A nice surprise to have a second separate bedroom as well. Friendly staff and a perfect location if you want to be minutes from Harrison Waterpark and restaurants.
Lovely Motel. Great, friendly and personable service. Clean and comfortable room, convenient to beach, trails, shops and short drives to two provincial parks/waterfalls. All Yays for our Harrison Spa Motel stay.
The room with kitchenette was so so. The kitchenette was fine with all you would minimally expect. There was no paper towel and no ice cube trays. The one large window in which the sun beamed into had only an old blackout curtain. There was no sheer to use to let light in and prying eyes out. The carpet was so old and worn. The beds were ok comfort wise for a one or two night stay. But the owner of the motel appears to care only about the money she is making. On the evening of July 6th at 9:00 pm she knocked on everyone's doors to let them know that the next day from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm there would be NO ELECTRICITY in all of Harrison. FYI the front desk is closed from 9:00 pm to 8:00 am!! Also she told us the motel had JUST been told this! *the WATER WAS ALSO OFF at 8:00 am which we were not told about.* I have since asked BC Hydro if Harrison had been given advance warning and here is their answer, BC HYDRO's ANSWER: Hi there, thanks for reaching out. It looks like notifications were sent out on June 22nd via phone, email, and mail postcard. Hope that helps. If you have additional questions about this outage, please call our team at 1 800 224 9376. Thanks. We personally were planning to sleep in that morning and make a leisurely breakfast etc. Well after getting up early and tired we had to also leave town because the WHOLE TOWN had NO ELECTRICITY so nothing was open! We asked for some compensation saying that since they actually knew of this coming SHUT OFF OF ELECTRICITY AND WATER when we originally booked on June 30th but didn't tell ANYONE that we should get all of our money back. But no, after some lengthy conversation the owner (working the front desk) said she would give us back $30 of the $200 the one night had cost us. That's $10 an hour for the 3 unusable morning hours. We will never stay there again knowing that there is little to no customer care.…
From the outside, it looks like a classic tacky Motel. The reviews were so flattering I admit...I was super curious! So we tried it out this year. This place has a charm that is hard to match. Our room had a well-situated bunk bed for our 5 and 7-year-olds, our bed was incredibly comfy...the room was clean and the fridge a good size. Outside, ocean view on a shared balcony. Seconds to the main strip. The owners are delightful and it appears it's family run. Beautful flower baskets well maintained and A/C worked well! Downsides? I thought our room had a microwave but clarify. And the parking lot is a hot mess. Tight squeeze! But there is so much parking elsewhere that in a pinch, it's an easy fix. Harrison's restaurants are all super expensive so next time, I would get a suite with a kitchenette for sure. But definitely stay at the "Spa" Motel (spoiler: no spa lol) The price for this Motel is far easier on the wallet then the others and it has everything one could want. Especially the Charm of an old timey place.…
