We had mixed feelings about our stay here. The campsites were nice and clean and well kept, but check in was a bit awkward. We had to go back a few times to clarify things, like wifi, where the lounge was to use the wifi, etc. We stated 3 nights, and our first was great as it was a Thursday...

So here you have it folks.. I am originally from Newfoundland and miss the rock terribly. Our place of residence, Edmonton, AB. During summer months, I just have to get back to the ocean side. Living on the Rock was amazing, just too far to travel with our trailer. My husband and I attended an RV show in Edmonton several...

Absolutely loved this campground. In fact, we loved it so much we booked for next summer. We can't wait to go back. The sites are varied and suited to many different tastes. The cafe serves fantastic snacks and beverages and the view can't be beat. The campground rules were actually enforced which we appreciated. We highly recommend Living Forest.

Thank you for your glowing review of Living Forest travelbug010174! Our staff works so hard to implement the dream our family had for this gorgeous piece of property that started 25 years ago, and when campers enjoy and appreciate their dedication it puts huge grins on everybody's faces! Thank you so much for saying, and we will do our utmost...

The address listed does not work with my 2016 GPS and 2016 maps, so I drove around Nanaimo until I found it. The young women staffing the reception desk were pleasant but not very knowledgeable. The site assigned to me was cleverly hidden behind some pit toilets so I had to go around the entire park a second time to...

Thank you for your review and for staying with us gunnyappleseed. I'm sorry your stay wasn't to your satisfaction, but we need to hear from unsatisfied campers too. I just wish I could understand what was behind so many of your issues and wish there were more specifics in your complaints. Our office staff are very well trained, and all...

Thank you for your concise and wonderful review justsaying1012015, and for staying with us. Fall camping is my favourite time in the park, when things quiet just a bit, between the summer families and the winter snowbirds, especially when the salmon run starts in the river late October. Your review is appreciated and I hope we can provide you with...

Campsites were spacious and varied between ocean view or nestled in trees. Being from Ontario were private campgrounds are basically a field with as many units on it as possible, Living Forest would compete with Provincial parks, but with more services. Easy to get to from the ferry and close to amenities. Snack bar with patio to enjoy the views....

Thank you Bob B for staying with us and sharing your experience on TripAdvisor- most appreciated on both counts. Our family grew up camping, and we did one memorable extended camping trip around Lake Superior in your province, and we loved the Provincial campsites both there and here in BC, where we started our own kids in the camping lifestyle....

Stayed for four nights in early September. The campground is a large, semi-urban one, and is organized accordingly. The staff does a good job of staying on top of things, though, and the sites are relatively spacious and well-treed! This a really nice base from which to explore the region.

Thank you for enjoying some September time at Living Forest Geoff W. Sounds like our wonderful staff was attentive. I always love hearing that people had the luxury of several days to base camp, relax, and explore our region. There's so many amazing places to see and experience. Reliable full services, clean sites, good view if you ask for an ocean view. Well-run facility. Friendly staff. Unfriendly wasp. ;) Nice laundry facility. Internet access intermittent. Good size sites with good privacy depending on where you stay.

Thank you visiting us and taking time to post your review Jeanettekelowna H. You hit all the main points for sure, including the danged wasps that are in their final weeks of existence this time of year all over the Island. We've been to LF 4 times, in 4 different campsites; we are tenters. Things we like are that it's well kept and well managed. There are on-site supervisors/security so you aren't going to get a noisy party next door. That said, we have the luxury of only going mid-week so I can't be sure about the weekends but I'd be...

Thank you for your review and for being a frequent camper Imjives! Every review matters to us and we learn so much about things we're doing right and sometimes wrong. But reviews from tenters somehow have even more significance because there's no buffer between the park experience and you when you're tenting- you're out there. We stopped here for one night last minute on a trip to Vancouver island. The ground was hard so we needed our hatchet to get the tent pegs in. Not a problem if you're in an rv or tent trailer.
