Stayed at the Mountain Shadow Hostel during a ski trip through southern BC. Great space with a well equipped kitchen (a little tight on fridge space) and 1min walking distance to liquor and grocery stores. The hosts were very accommodating offering a full refund when it rained to the top of Red Mountain and we wanted to cancel our last...

Helpful staff with a great atmosphere. Really enjoyed my stay and it was at a great price! Also there was a free Christmas dinner provided by the staff which was generous. It's close to the bus stop and right in town so getting to the hill is easy and grabbing food is convenient!

Great staff, great vibe, great location and all the facilities you need. One of the best hostels so far. The kitchen has plenty of space and gear, and has a nice social place to eat. The lounge is a good place for chilling and watching sports etc after a tough day on the slopes. The staff are friendly as you...

We traveled in late December and arrived a couple of days before Christmas and stayed on for 16 days. Christmas day one of the managers, Clay, cooked an awesome Christmas dinner for all the guests in the Hostel. The roast turkey and veggies were the best. The lodge was well managed, lots of people having fun but no bad behaviour...

Stayed here for nearly 3 weeks and was very satisfied with the standard. Definitely the cheapest place in the area. Everything is keept very clean and tidy. Have stayed in back packers which are dirty and rarely cleaned however the bathrooms, kitchen and living areas were always well maintained. Plenty of areas to keep comfortable with Netflix etc. Only complaint...

Nice cozy hostel, liked it. Comfy beds, decent kitchen. Other travellers were quiet and respectful. However; Carl? Cliff? One of the managers of the place approached me and said the rudest, meanest things someone has ever said to me. He saw me sitting alone in the foyer, as my friends were in the kitchen, he came up to me and...

We have stayed in many hostels in different countries around the world and Mountain Shadow Hostel in Rossland is easily one of our favourites. Welcoming local staff, clean rooms/bathrooms and an easy going relaxing vibe. Pool table, darts, lots of TVs, everything you could want to relax after a day on the hill. Perfect central location with easy and quick...

Best hostel I have stayed in! Me and and a friend were touring through BC staying at various hostels over a 2 month period, and this hostel was by far the nicest in terms of facilities, staff, and location to town. Everyone was friendly and more than happy to tell you about the places to go and see and even...
