After booking a room that was non-refundable, then a few days before we arrived we were sent an email saying 'It is our pleasure to inform all arriving guests that we have begun renovations on our main hotel building. As such, all guests will be directed to the rear of the property (annex building) to access our lobby, reception and...

What can I say about this hotel. Well nothing good that's for sure. It started right at arrival. See what they don't tell you is that the hotel is under full construction and only one wing is actually open. There is garbage and junk everywhere and the building is mostly covered in construction plastic. But hey we were there and...

We visited this hotel a week ago. The hotel is under renovation, which we did not know when we booked. The "included" breakfast consisted of some muffins, bread (toast), cereal, coffee, tea and liquid yogurt. I am gluten free, so there was nothing there for me to eat. Luckily, we had inquired on check in, so we went to the...

Nice staff and clean smelling *but*... This place had grubby looking carpets and the worst mattress I've ever tried to sleep on. No joke. It was ancient, creaky, uneven and felt like there were broken springs. I couldn't wait to get out and go home after my 5 hours of poor broken sleep. I might have slept on the floor...

We stayed here in march for one night. It was very well priced. The hotel is still under renovation with no restaurant or bar open. The main part of the hotel is closed but we stayed in the "motel" style side. Our room was ground floor with direct access from outside. Each room facing the harbour had a balcony or...

We booked a room over looking the Harbour, which had a great view. The room was a good size with a fireplace. The TV was on the small size and sitting on the dresser rather than wall mounted, not ideal, but okay. Bathroom was a good size, tub a bit smaller There also was a mini fridge in the room....

When we told friends we were staying on Salt Spring Island, we were told to stay here. It was obviously once a wonderful hotel that gave travellers and excellent experience. Unfortunately, it is now a sad, beaten up accommodation with no money offered for repairs or maintenance. When I called to make a booking I was assured that the room...

We stayed for 2 nights. The room was okay. It was clean enough, but room service didn't clean our room, make the bed or replace any of the supplies (soap, coffee or towels). Fair enough. I guess they didn't want a tip.

This is a down-and-out hotel in a decent location. There was no air conditioning in our room. The window had no screen so we took our chances on a bug free night to cool down the room. The promised garden walk is a complete bust. There is no restaurant but the pub across the street was fantastic.

Booked a two nite stay with a coupon, decided to pay an extra 30$ a nite and got the upgrade. Very happy we did. It was a lovely large honeymoon suite with a corner jetted tub for two. We also had a cozy ocean view deck with a gas fireplace although we never used it. As the restaurant was closed...
