The hotel has a boutique vibe, even though it's quite large. The lobby is absolutely gorgeous - lots of dark wood and art. The experience was a pleasure, starting at check-in. The staff was friendly and charming and the "perfume concierge" was a blast. Our room wasn't huge, but it was beautifully furnished, with a crazy comfortable bed and a... More

We arrived at the Hotel after a 10 hour flight from London - we were visiting family for 6 months - we had a deluxe room and it was everything and more we could have asked for - we had our 18 month old with us and they brought in a metal cot (art deco style) with lots of shampoos... More

I got to stay one night during a business trip and this stay has left such a beautiful memory... from the moment my taxi stopped at the entrance and I was welcomed by Jonathan, who immediately alerted the frontdesk of my arrival, up to the goodbye when I left the hotel... excellence, elegance, taste, style, SERVICE, luxury and most comfortable... We are here for our 36th anniversary and they did an upgrade to a beautiful room... I love everything about it... And I am very picky!!! Love the decor and all the little touches.. A heated bathroom floor and a gorgeous tub!! I'm very happy... Book this hotel if you are looking for a romantic getaway!!!!

There wasn't anything wrong with this hotel, great location, beautiful room and very nice touches. I also had the pleasure of staying at L'Hermitage and prefer it to the Rosewood, but the Rosewood was a very nice hotel.

The service was amazing from the concierge to the service at the bar to over the top room service. This is one of the top hotels we've stayed at. Cleanliness and service definitely amazing. We love to travel and have only stayed at a few other hotels we would give a five star. Not giving them a five star at... More

My husband and I ended our honey moon in Vancouver. We booked this hotel after reading the reviews. It lives up to the 5 star expectations. Rooms are beautiful with stunning large bathrooms. I'm very picky with hotels being clean and have to say the room was immaculate. I'm definitely staying here when I return to Vancouver.

From the moment we saw this hotel we had a good feeling and we were not disappointed in the customer service, the room or the facilities. The Duty Manager who checked us in was excellent and so was Aidan the concierge who helped us with information at least twice during our stay - nothing was too much trouble for him.... More

This downtown centrally located historic hotel is a throw back to elegance and glamor. On arrival to the valet we were graciously greeted. We knew about the valet charge, but check the rate, about $40 CDN. On check in we were informed that we had been upgraded, without even asking. I was surprised as I had made the reservation through... More

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
