The good : The views are gorgeous and not to be undersold. There is everything you need close by from transit to nightlife. The bad : Asides from mothers day brunch and a few other things, the food is quite blah overall. The property is stuck in the 80s as it was a crown jewel during Expo 86. It never...

Stayed here while in town on business. A bit of a ride from the airport but not a big deal. Easy and friendly check-in, was even upgraded (free of charge) to a suite on the top floor (floor 23). Room was nice although bathroom seemed a bit dated. The toilet sat really low and the shower drain backed up a...

The hotel is beautiful and spectacular to look at all around, very elegant and the views are beautiful. Wasn't my first stay here but it was great as remembered. The hotel staff were amazing and accommodated my request to surprise my husband with a cake due to an anniversary, as well as granting early check in (thanks cleaning staff!) and...

We had a wonderful lux stay at the Pan Pacific with an afternoon at Spa Utopia. Rooms were well appointed & cozy. The location was ideal - close to downtown shopping and some fabulous restaurants and bars nearby. The outdoor pool & hot tub had amazing views as well.

Perfect location to walk all of central Vancouver including to Rogers Arena. I gave sleep quality an average rating because I don't like soft pillows, however I'm sure this would've been solved had I requested firm pillows, so that's on me.

It was a pleasure to read that you enjoyed your stay and that you were able to take advantage of our central location to explore Vancouver. While we are pleased you enjoyed our views, we are disappointed to read that our regular pillows were not to your liking. Should you give us the pleasure of welcoming you back to the...

Booked a standard king room (city view) as the price was right via Expedia. Was just a quick overnight for us from the island...Canucks game! Close proximity to Harbour Air & Rogers Arena. Check in was quick (hotel wasn't busy ... figured they might upgrade us but they did not), they gave us a room on the 18th floor. Room...

We stayed here for 4 nights and we loved the location, staff and views. The room we had was an upgrade ($60 a night) and I am not 100% that was worth the money. The city Views I am sure would have been as good. The reason an upgrade was the bed configuration and the availability for early check in....

Our view was lovely and we could watch birds swoop in patterns around the tall buildings. The linens and towels were luxurious, but you had to make decisions about what to plug in to the wall plugs - just the addition of a few would have made a lot of difference. Coffee in the room is free - IF you...

Wow! What a wonderful experience. Fantastic hotel and so convenient to the cruise ships. They will actually transfer your luggage to the ship.... We had a veiw overlooking the cruise ship port and what a view! Vancouver is georgeous! Our room was spacious, spotless and nicely appointed. Yes, it is higher priced than other area hotels, but so worth it...

Our 3rd stay in the past year. We enjoyed this hotel because there are so many things in the area within walking distance. Don't get me wrong you still need a car to travel around the city. But when we finish our daily activities it is so nice to return back to the hotel for the evening and go for...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
