The lobby is beautiful and the service I received was fantastic (early check-in at 11am - no problem!). Room was in the "old" side, a little small and a bit tired - really the carpet was pulled in some sections near the window. The heated pool, hot tub and sun deck were lovely, though a bit convoluted to get there...

Located on Burrard and Robson streets. Check in was easy. We wanted to switch rooms and this was easily accomplished. Public spaces clean, well lit. Gymnasium better equipped than most, with ample free weights as well as machines, barbells, and aerobics, though a hard core iron head like me can't figure out why have a Smith machine when you could...

Sutton Place has a boutique, elegant, traditional feeling about it. We had a one bedroom suite with kitchen, living room, terrace with a great city view and peak of water and also a regular hotel room. Both were nicely, modern furnished with decent size baths. The location was right in the center of Vancouver. The cruise ships and waterfront were...

Certainly exceeded our expectations :) Although located in downtown, city noise is minimal. Very clean. Matresses are incredibly comfy. Ask for a room from higher floors, city view is very nice. -----

We stayed here for a concert, used transit and ferries so arrived early to what appeared to be an extremely busy day......Totally understand that we were before check in and did not even dream of asking to get in to the room early. Clerk at desk with no name tag advised she would let us know in about 30 minutes...

I stayed at the Sutton the night before my wedding with my bridesmaids and family in an adjoining room. I also arranged a discounted rate here for out-of-town guests. The employee I usually communicated with, Edwina, was more accommodating and friendly than her counterparts at other downtown hotels I explored. Other employees I interacted with were similarly helpful and professional....

Central downtown location in Burrard Street, close to Robson Street, Robson Square and direct walk down to Canada Place. Valet parking at $39 per night same as self parking. Friendly and helpful staff gave a good welcome. Our 6th floor room overlooked the front of the building and there was some street noise (emergency vehicle sirens). The room was very...

Stayed here for 2 nights. We had just finished a 12 day Alaskan land tour and cruise. Loved the location! Nice little grocery store and also a liquor store close by. We enjoyed the breakfast one morning, excellent French press coffee. Ate dinner one night in the restaurant. That was ok. The day we were leaving we had room service...

I had a short visit in Vancouver for work. This hotel was great. Staff was friendly and attentive, rooms were very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel bar was nice as well. Overall it is one of the better hotels in which I've stayed.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
