The staff were very helpful and friendly. They remember you as you come and go which is nice. Good central downtown location, easy walking distance to some great food. Room compact yet met all our needs.

I booked this hotel for its proximity to the Fairmont Vancouver Hotel which I needed to be at very early in the morning to catch a bus for a train tour. Having come off a ship at about 9:00am, the front desk staff checked to see if my room was ready. They were at 100% capacity the night before, so...

I stayed in a suite with 2 twin beds with my adult daughter and we were both very happy with our stay. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was large and clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was very quiet and we both slept well. The location is excellent, as it is by Pacific...

We arrived in town and were happy to see the Hotel Le Soleil was such a nice hotel property located in the busy business district of Vancouver. We immediately liked the classy traditional decor and rich furnishings and the front desk staff. The reception was warm and friendly even at 8:30 a.m. on the day of our reservation after getting...

We stayed one night at the Hotel Le Soleil prior to our Alaskan Cruise and were very happy and impressed. Our room was beautiful, as was the lobby of the hotel. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and treated us as if they had known us for years. We took a bus into Vancouver from Seattle and...

Just a one night stay prior to a cruise. The rooms are spacious and decorated quite lovely. Separate sitting room from bed room, with doors cutting off either from the beautiful bathroom allow for easy mixed use. One person can still be in bed while the other works or watches TV. We will definitely be back to Le Soleil on...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights (22nd to 24th August), room was excellent and served our purpose. The location was also great as it is only a 5 minute walk to the waterfront, and there are a few coffee shops on the way to get an early bite before going on trips.

I stayed at Hotel Le Soleil with my family on August 30 2015. Our suite was cramped but satisfactory. The receptionist charged me more than I was quoted when I booked the room but politely corrected the matter. Upon arrival in our room, we found a bottle of water and bottle of wine left on the reception table. We assumed...

Dear Jay P, Thank you for sharing your recent hotel experience. I am sorry that there was mix up with your room rate upon arrival but happy that our Guest Service Agent was able to amend it. Our suites average 400-450 square feet depending on the room type - perhaps you were travelling with your family which would make it...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
