I am usually a creature of habit; once I find somewhere I like I don't usually try something new just for the sake of it. Last weekend, however, I met up with some friends in Vancouver and we wanted to get a place downtown that was reasonably priced to satisfy the budgets of everyone. Le Soleil had an amazing weekend...

The staff is very helpful and friendly. The hotel is affiliated with the 'Copper Chimney' restaurant next door. It serves breakfast, lunch and dinner although there are several restaurants within walking distance. The room (corner suite), was surprisingly quiet. (10th floor). The rooms were clean and had all of the amenities one would need. The bedroom was separate from the...

Stayed here last week. This was my first time in Vancouver. Nice hotel. I would stay here again if i was in downtown Vancouver. The room was comfortable and spacious. It seemed like a good location, but i was in and out of town in 24 hours. Saw most of Vancouver from a taxi. Starbucks is close !

Great location, very elegant and comfortable rooms. Best feature is the staff. Very attentive and genuinely interested in your comfort. The property must have strong leadership to have created such a strong service culture. Looking forward to my next visit. Thank you!

From the moment you drive up and are warmly greeted by the valet to the efficient check-in to discovering a small but well laid out room, it is a first class experience. Pros" - Conveniently within easy walking distance of the SkyTrain, Robson Street/Pacific Centre Mall (for shopping), restaurants, the waterfront, coffee shops (Starbucks & Caffe Artigiano) - Well maintained...

In a city graced with many good hotels, Le Soleil is certainly one of the best. Very comfortable, very friendly, perfectly located right in the heart of the city. The corner suites are particularly good but all the suites will make you feel at home.

Le Soleil is an antidote to the all glass hotels and condos. It provides excellent accommodation and relaxed service in a totally fictional historical style setting. There is a friendly bar and restaurant at street level. Rooms are a good size. Furniture is wood with gold details which stay on the cosy side of grand. Windows are large and open....

I prefer to be greeted with the words, Welcome to Hotel Le Soleil or even just Welcome. "Hello my dear" seems so inappropriate but maybe everyone is called that. My husband stayed here the week prior on business and he said that they did not greet him that way. I am sure men are never greeted that way. But maybe...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
