We were so pleased to get an upgrade. We ended up with a fantastic view of the ocean and beach area. The suite was so comfortable and we enjoyed the kitchen elements as well. It made breakfasts so convenient and more affordable. Nearby amenities attracted us out to enjoy the downtown restaurants and clubs in the evenings. As soon as we...

My room was spacious and had everything I needed. Th gym and pool were easy to access and were clean and well appointed. The staff was pleasant and professional. Great location! Easy to get to Stanley Park and many neighborhood restaurants and shops.

The hotel elevator, which always had some sort of garbage in it, took us right up to 1980. The room featured a spectacular view but a carpet that was so stained and dirty I kept my socks on. The furniture was very tired and stained as well. The bathrooms featured cracked sinks and questionable counters. The staff were excellent, however,...

We love the Coast Plaza Hotel and think it is one of the best we have ever stayed in. They are very friendly at the front desk and will bring you new towels. The room furnishings are a little dated, but stil nice and come with a desk, a TV (we didn’t even use!) and a table with chairs, plus...

Pros - great location. - friendly helpful staff - clean Cons - wifi connection terrible - in need of a renovation Booked on Hotwire and for the price still very good. Was a great location for walking along Robson to do some shopping. Viewing the sunset at the beach and walking along the sea wall to catch the Aquabus to...

Amazing location! It's right on Denman, just a few short blocks from Stanley Park, English Bay, Great Thai and Vietnamese food and more. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Well-designed rooms, very clean, great beds and pillows, great views if you're on an upper floor. Incredible staff. Jonathan at the front desk is amazing. He's kind, helpful,...

This hotel is in a great location but is inline for a much needed renovation. The rooms are a great size with lots of room to comfortable fit 4 adults. Lastly, the wifi is horrible and must be upgraded to 21st century standards, especially in an urban city such as Vancouver.

Staff at this hotel very friendly and helpful . The room service selection could be improved but everything else was perfect and we loved our stay . There is really no better location in the city for a view of the ocean and mountains . We have already booked another stay here

The Coast Plaza was clean and comfortable making it an ideal place to stay when visiting family in the West End. We did not spend much time in the hotel but the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and there was plenty of hot water in the shower. The room was quite large and boasted a view of English...

I have been coming to Coast Plaza for over 25 years and although it always look as if it needs a bit of refurbishing, it has the best 2 room suite in tow. With it comes a kitchen and a lounge bigger than most people's sitting room. The bathrooms look a bit tired and the restaurant is nothing special. However,...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.

“The room sizes are great and the views are perfect. An update is required as the wifi is non existing and the smell was slightly offensive, the toilets are from the 60's maybe early 70's witch is cool but the over all feel is a little worn out and in need of some updating. ”
