Booked a room for New Years Eve. Usually stay at the Sands but had a Save on More Voucher to use so we stayed here this year. Received a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful corner suite overlooking Gross mountain as well as English Bay. Front desk check in was quick and easy. The hotel is situated over a small mall...

The Coast Plaza was most accommodating when we informed them of pet allergies as they were going to give us a room that previously had a cat in it. They went above and beyond to find a room that was fitting and it was a monumental upgrade as well. The location was great, just off Denman and walking distance to...

Dear Guest: Thank you for your recent review. I am glad you just had the best stay in Vancouver. It sounds like the team went above your expectations to accommodate your room request and ended up impressing in the end too. I can't hope for more than that from my team. I am really glad you enjoyed our location too....

Stayed here two nights to spend some time in the City and was glad I picked this location - it is within walking distance to many food establishments, stores, attached to a shopping mall (though not really a modern mall - more like an older strip mall type of vibe), bus stops, bike rental places, and Stanley Park. The lobby...

Excellent. Great staff, nice accommodation, good location, easy parking and dog friendly. We also found the rooms surprisingly quiet for the location. The only negative was very limited menu for vegetarians.

Great location, near the Park and plenty of restaurants. My room was lovely: very spacious (3 closets, lots of room to spread out); comfortable bed and desk; attractive furnishings; nice bathroom with bathtub as well as shower; microwave and small fridge as well as a *really good* coffeemaker. I had a great view of the water and the sunset.

Never seen an ugly washroom, please keep paperplates atleast, we wont use unwashed plates of yours, no complimentary breakfast for 150$ a night room, cant get mountain view nothing is complimentary, wifi signal is horrible! Plus points are indoor pools, dollarama on same floor atleast and 24 hrs Burger King and many more eatable joints. What star is this hotel?

This was our first time staying here. Surprised how close it is to everything. Staff was super. Parking your car is extra price $25.00 / day. Think this is excessive should be free with your stay. We will be back!

Dear Guest: Thank you for your recent review. It is wonderful that you were surprised by the proximity of our hotel to everything. For what it is (3 star hotel) it's very good. I booked through the beVancouver website and paid a total of $88 all-in after a $75 American Express rebate which is very affordable for Downtown Vancouver. The big draw is the indoor pool for my 6 year old son which is well looked after and clean. The rooms are spacious...

We enjoyed our stay. Serena at the front desk was so polite, friendly and accommodating. It was a great deal for three nights. Close to many restaurants and coffee shops and a short walk to shopping on Robson or Davie Streets.

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
