This was my first time staying at the Moda hotel. I am usually one to book at a hotel chain or more well known hotels, but decided to give the Moda a try. What a pleasant surprise! We got a great deal with free parking and free breakfast, which is normally not included. Not only was it a nice, chic,...

An old building. It is very well located for shopping and dining. Some bars in the area too.The rooms are ok, nothing special. Can purchase a day pass to a great gym at a discount from the front desk which is a plus.

We stayed in the room right next to the room we'd been in prior but this one was even better! King bed, windows on two sides because we were on the corner. Lots of light, great view of Seymour Street. Not as loud as I anticipated, but I sleep with earplugs always. We didn't spend much time at the hotel,...

The majority of the rooms in this hotel are very loud. Moda needs to invest in better windows because it's impossible to sleep if you are in a room facing Seymour. The beds are rock hard. I woke up often in the night with aching hips from the hard mattress. There was no warm water in my room on the...

This place was super expensive in the summer months and was not worth the price. We had it recommended by friends who live outside Vancouver and have stayed there when in city. apparently the ownership changed and quality went down hill. Don't over pay for this place.

A friend and I were spending a few days in Vancouver and I bought a voucher on a travel site. We were welcomed by front desk staff and although our room wasn't ready, we were directed to the secure parking just across the street (included in the cost of the room). Our room wasn't huge but it was clean, bright,...

We checked in on a Sunday, because I had bought a voucher through Living Social. It included parking and a voucher for breakfast ( for one. ) The man at the check in desk was pleasant and explained the parking, which is about 1/2 block down the street, so dress warm if it's cold outside. You must drive up 5...

Stayed one night at Moda Hotel in february. Booked a king bed room and the photographs on the website looked clean and trendy. Upon check-in it was noted that the elevator was under service for the rest of the month. As we were given a room on second floor, that was no issue walking up one flight of stairs to...

Although this is an older hotel it is clean and has adequate facilities. The free breakfast that came with our room was good. You were able to order from the menu. The only "surprise" was that decaf coffee was not include but regular was. My friends were taken back by this charge. We could easily walk to the Bay and...

The hotel has the location going for it, however the bed and sheets left a lot to be desired. The bed was not comfortable and the sheets seemed to be so starched they didn't even mold around you. Small rooms, older finishing's. Okay for a short one night stay where we spent very little room in the hotel, however for...

Staying in Granville Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Street
Granville Street spans many, multiple city blocks and has become so fastidiously known for its nightclubs and watering holes that it's fondly nicknamed the city's 'Entertainment District.' Friday and Saturday nights are the most popular and lively, with young revelers taking to the streets in droves and keeping the party going until late. Granville Street, being mostly open to pedestrian-only traffic, has a healthy social life along its main thoroughfares, even outside of its cafes and pubs, spilling onto the sidewalks. The locals are chatty, the shops at its expansive Pacific Centre Mall are trendy, and the whole area seems to be on a sugar rush: in a good way. Exuberance and camaraderie classify this neighbourhood.
