Maybe it was coming off a 14 hour direct flight, maybe it was the time lag between home and Canada or maybe it was just being smack bang in the busiest street in Vancouver that made it near impossible to sleep. The location was excellent - except at night / early morning when you would like a bit of peace,...

Not the worst hotel but honestly they just don't care to the point that I wouldn't stay here again. I booked on Booking.com because I couldn't get a private room at the Downtown HI. I called HI and it turned out I could get a private room, but when I tried to cancel Tropicana there was a charge of $140...

Great location and that's it!!!## the most ghetto place I've ever stayed..the stench upon entering, the carpets are filthy with holes everywhere, shower doesn't work, filth everywhere, don't plan on sleeping it is party central...noise noise noise!!! Lampshades are dirty, some don't work, the worst was seeing the cleaning lady's cart no lie a rusty old shopping cart with towels and toiletries dumped inside...

I stayed in this hotel twice (with a short trip to Vancouver Island in between, before returning to Vancouver and flying home). The accommodation comprises a bedroom, living room, bathroom and small kitchen - so plenty of space. Excellent views (especially from the top floor, where I spent my first few days). A small caveat would have to be that...

I highly don't recommend this place. The place is very old the furnitures are super dirty and smells like dirty bathroom. I paid $153/ day which was way too expensive for a place like this. I found some bed bugs walking around the hallway which means they are separated in that area. And I got some bed bugs' bites. The...

First of all, we went to Vancouver in August 2015 with my family so we found Bugs and mouses in the rooms. Therefore, it was bad experience because the Rat traps every where which are not safe for kids and health. When we talk to the employee about all that problems, they were aware all that issue but the problem...

The Sheraton Vancouver Wall Center was 200 and this was 148. It is around 15 minutes from the park and I thought I would save a few dollars. However, despite the fact that this is a cheaper hotel, the quality should not have been this terrible. The bedspread had holes in it, the outlets in the bathroom and sitting area...

This place is nothing fancy but it was fine to stay in for a few nights, it's old but clean enough. You pay for what you get. The rooms were apartment style and that was nice. The rooms were noisy which is to be expected on Robson street. There is no ac which is a definite negative. We opened all...

Ok, so everything else was around $1,000 a night when I had to book here. So it's a little unfair because I might not be the target market. But there's no aircon, it's on a very busy street where you hear the traffic lights for pedestrians incessantly and really threadbare. Cleanliness was passable and wifi very good.

Second time staying. Rooms are dated but clean. You cannot beat the price and location. There is no air conditioning and it can get very warm in the summer. If your looking for five star accommodation this is not the place. If your looking for and affordable base near the best restaurants and Stanley Park, than this is the place.

Staying in Robson Street

Neighbourhood Profile
Robson Street
Robson Street is a shopper's paradise. Whether a window shopper or a serious trendsetter, a fashionista or a dabbler, the crowd of independent boutiques, quirky one-off shops, and well-known luxury brands on Robson Street have something to cater for every itch in your wallet. As a result, it draws a diverse crowd, and the people-watching along this famous walking thoroughfare is a primary attraction. In between the clothing shops both high-street and budget-friendly are a number of cafes to lay down your load, as well as numerous specialty stores ranging in their wares from music, to art, to city souvenirs. Known as "Vancouver's Runway," if a new trend is on the rise, you'd spot it here first.
