This is a great hotel. It's old and beautiful with large rooms and comfortable beds. The staff is friendly. The location is just a few blocks from Gastown, a few blocks from a sky tram terminal (where you can buy an all day bus pass) it's on the #19 bus route which goes straight down into Stanley Park. A word... More

This is a charming victorian boutique hotel. Rioms are small but quaint. On a relatively quiet street 3 blocks from gastown. There are numberous shared washrooms per floor. They are modern and clean. No waiting time. Good price for a value hotel. BUT.......... inside the building sound proofing is really poor. You can hear doors opening and closing to the... More

The hotel is old and cozy. They are remodeling and updating it all. We got the biggest suite with tall, bay windows. The room was large, well furnished, clean. We were on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator but they carried our luggage up. They had continental breakfast included. The owner was the at the check in desk... More

Arrived after a long flight from Australia. Friendly reception staff and got immediate check-in. We had a lovely large bright corner room on 1st floor. Room 103. Room clean and comfortable and liked the fact they have kept the furnishings to suit the era. Hotel is close to Canada Place and Gastown. Breakfast average. not enough tables or mugs for... More

This is a hotel with great location. Very clean, cosy and comfortable. You also get free breakfast. Staff is friendly and helpful. However, there is no AC in the room. Considering staying here if you are coming here in a hot hot summer.

Highly recommend this Hotel. It has a lot of character and the rooms are updated and large. Price is reasonable for Vancouver. Feels homey-doesn't feel like a chain Motel. Location is unbeatable. Easy walking distance to most of downtown, Canada Place (cruise ship terminal) and the Translink connections. Never used a taxi the 3 days we stayed there. Only negative:... More

My wife and my parents recently stayed here after we completed an Alaskan Cruise. A nice comfortable hotel with a very traditional feel. Shared bathroom in our case but that wasn't a problem. We had previously visited the hotel and chosen the room, though in hindsight it was a little on the small side, but that was to save us a little on the cost. Bigger rooms are available and with their own bathrooms... More

Staying in Gastown

Neighbourhood Profile
Gastown
A visit to Gastown is like turning back the clock and stepping into a bygone era. With the distinction of being Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, the many plaques that stud the cobbled streets of Gastown tell the story of its colorful past, giving Vancouver's history a more lively presence here than anywhere else. Having been originally founded around a popular worker's saloon, it's no wonder that today some of Vancouver's best micro-breweries, creative cocktail joints, and corner bars can be found in this area. Classical charm suffuses its many vintage boutiques and the brick-built structures that an army of creative professionals call home.
