My wife and I stayed here over the May long weekend. The hotel has a nice lobby with a decent restaurant/bar on the corner. The waterfront/Olympic Cauldron area is a few blocks in one direction and the location is convenient to public transit options. We took the train to/from the airport and walked a few blocks to the hotel. The...

The Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle was a very convenient stay pre and post cruise to Alaska. Vancouver is a beautiful city and this Marriott is very well located near the cruise ship port ( a short few blocks walk....downhill to port). Pre-cruise the pool/spa was under repair so we were a bit disappointed to not access it to relax from our...

First visit to Vancouver and I had the pleasure of staying in this hotel. It was very close to the where I needed to be. The view not so good (6th floor). The front desk, door men service where good. They had infused water and chocolate chip cookies for guests. Complimentary coffee and tea in the morning. The room was...

Pros Close to Burrard station and an ok distance from the waterfront. Cons Price is hefty considering you have to pay extra for internet which is ridiculous in this day and age. Staff were ok but didn't go out of their way. Wait times for the elevators can be very long so bare in mind for those on business trips....

My wife and I stayed here for two nights prior to a cruise. The Hotel rooms are spacious and bathrooms are large with a bath and separate shower. Our room had a harbour view with floor to ceiling windows. It was very clean and had everything a guest could require. Staff were very friendly and helpful and did everything they...

The Marriott Pinnacle is located right downtown, and we found it convenient to the convention center (2 blocks), a number of area restaurants, Robson Street (where there are many restaurants) is even walkable, although further (6 blocks or so(. I should mention that the restaurant in the Marriott itself is quite good, having eaten there twice. The Concierge lounge I...

This hotel, ideally located for cruise passengers, tourists and business travelers can hardly be surpassed for its ambiance, customer service, pricing, and amenities. The corner room was comfortable with a superb bed and bedding, lounge area and spacious bath with tub and separate shower. From the free tropical drink in the lobby in the late afternoon to the excellent food...

We stayed for two nights before a cruise to Alaska. The hotel is in a great location for walking around town, and we were able to make a 10-12 minute walk to the pier and board our ship. Great location to walk to both Robson Street, the waterfront, and Gastown. I stayed using Marriott Reward points.

A great quiet place to stay. Walking distance from cruise ships and a short ride to train station. We spent 2 nights in Vancouver then continued our travels on the train to Seattle. The bar and restaurant in the hotel were good also. The staff friendly and a beautiful view. This is a wonderful walkable city. Definitely recommend staying here.

Good location. Comfortable rooms with all the usual amenities. Gym is larger than most. Service at the bar can be slow at times as they do get overwhelmed. Large groups either conventioning at the hotel or overnighting before/after a cruise can cause considerable congestion slowing elevator and really taxiing amenities. For those who have access to the lounge, it is...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
