We stayed one night at the Marriott Pinnacle in downtown Vancouver prior to embarking on a cruise. The hotel is well located by the harbor and the convention center. It is an active and interesting area to walk. Everything in the hotel is first class. Even things like plumbing fixtures and tile work were of very high quality. The hotel...

We are very fortunate to be conveniently located in the heart of Coal Harbour, just steps away from the cruise ship terminal and other popular Vancouver attractions. My daughter and I stayed here and found the location ideal for the harbour, shops and Canada Place. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel or there are lots of places to eat within easy walking distance. We were offered an upgrade which we accepted as the room was ready when we arrived. We were not disappointed as there...

Needed a hotel close to Canada Place for our cruise - stayed only 1 night, enjoyed the time although short. Didn't get to fully appreciate all the amenities. Short walk to 7-11 for late night snack. Busy restaurant, so a walk to Tim Hortons for morning coffee! Room was a tad small, but very clean, modern and comfortable. Helpful, professional...

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our tour of the Rockies. The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable.Breakfast was good.A very busy hotel, but we felt the hotel was more for business and wi-fi was only free in the lobby, quite expensive in your room.Nicely situated within easy reach of the harbour and shops.Overall though,a good hotel.

This hotel is very handily placed for visiting Canada Place. The room we had was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and pointed out places to visit on the free map they gave us. WiFi was free if you stayed in the lobby. For some reason the tea and milk in our...

Great location, with amazing view of waterfront. The staff is very professional, helpful and friendly. The best I have encountered in a long time. There is always a smiling face, whether it is a bellman or a greeter out in the lobby to help you. The front desk personnel, wait staff and bar staff are all very nice and go...

This is a very nice hotel with a nice restaurant. The location was very convenient to the touristy places around. Rooney at the front desk set us up in a room that had a nice view of the water and seaplanes from one of the windows. Was traveling there with friends and turned out to be a great stay.

Nice, clean rooms and wonderfully friendly staff. It's primarily a business hotel, so everything feels very neat and put together. Great location - only a block or so walk to the harbor, and centrally located so you can easily walk to both Stanley Park and Gastown/Chinatown. The taxis are surprisingly cheap in Vancouver if you need to go somewhere farther...

Just stayed at this Marriott property for 7 days and was impressed with its downtown location and clean, well to do rooms. Overall experience was good, with check-in and check-out smooth and staff generally very helpful. A couple of suggestions which would make the traveller's experience improve:- free wifi only available in lobby -could do better with in-room free wi-fi...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
