I very much enjoyed my one night stay here. The rooms were clean, the bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly.
The only drawback was the extremely strong deodorizer smell in the shared washrooms. The washrooms were very clean, but they smell very...More
- Strongly recommend to change another type of shower head due to its "very very " low-flow, although I agree to save water. You'd better try it in person then you can feel customer's inconvenience/difficulty of taking a shower in the shared bathroom.
The newly-reno Kingston Hotel is a great addition to a true downtown local pub venue and recently nicely renovated hotel. Very popular by locals. But I believe that not all room have private baths (best to confirm).
We know the location, close to downtown venues....More

Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also
popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.

The rooms I've stayed in both times I was there were the same. They are small rooms but ample for one person. There is the bed, desk and chair. There is a mirror and a sink in room. The shared bathrooms are just down the hall plus there are some on other floors. I never had a time I had to wait. I personally was never bothered by construction noise. It is an older hotel so no air conditioning but there is a fan and the window does open. It was fine for me and I was there in August. There are many little alcoves with comfy chairs around the place if you want to sit and read. Staff are extremely helpful. My room didn't have a tv. Not sure what the bigger rooms are like. It is so central to everything. The morning continental is adequate. Toast or bagel, juice, coffee, tea. Not sure what else. I hope this helps.
