Harking back to the days when the West End was Vancouver’s first residential neighbourhood, the 1906-built West End Guest House was once home to the Edwards family – some of their photographs of early Vancouver adorn the walls. Current owners Paul Wylie and David Birch have modernised the interiors and plumbing (all rooms are en suite), while retaining a period charm. The eight individually styled and named guest suites range from lush garden level (Superior King Garden Suite) to cosy top floor (Deluxe king Suite). Complimentary gourmet breakfasts, free parking for each room and free Wi-Fi add to the charm. It is on historic Haro Street, with easy access to the nearby Stanley Park seawall, or Davie and Robson Street shopping areas. The parlour with hearth is ideal for winter contemplation, while the veranda and garden beckon in summer months.

Robson Street
Robson Street is a shopper's paradise. Whether a window shopper or a serious trendsetter, a fashionista or a dabbler, the crowd of independent boutiques, quirky one-off shops, and well-known luxury brands on Robson Street have something to cater for every itch in your wallet. As a result, it draws a diverse crowd, and the people-watching along this famous walking thoroughfare is a primary attraction. In between the clothing shops both high-street and budget-friendly are a number of cafes to lay down your load, as well as numerous specialty stores ranging in their wares from music, to art, to city souvenirs. Known as "Vancouver's Runway," if a new trend is on the rise, you'd spot it here first.

A very charming guesthouse with a fabulous decoration. The breakfast is just perfect and different every day. It feels like home when in the evening all the guests are talking around the chimney, with a cake (freshly prepared) and cup of tea. The room is big enough and clean

This Guest House really does reflect its ratings. On arrival, there was a welcoming fire in the lounge and a breakfast table set so attractively we could tell our breakfast would be one to savour. Off the dining room they had a corner with home baked muffins, cookies and drinks

Your suite has a private entrance from the back garden and yes there is a seating area for relaxing. The 2nd floor also has a deck for the guests to enjoy that is only accessed from the second floor. There is lots of local restaurants within walking distance and bike shops for renting bicycles.
