Booked for two nights as we were getting married in a yacht moored at Granville island, Royal Vancouver 1. Very convenient but a little tricky for the bride getting to the boat. Pretty much every room has a view great updates and comfortable room. Spring special was awesome!

We stayed at this hotel as we often have while in Vancouver. We love the location. There is a gym and a walking path and many excellent restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is even an excellent yoga studio close by.

They should change the name to the Great Granville Island Hotel. I was completely satisfied except the hot tub needs to be at least 102 degrees and it was not, Also a hint for first timers - they need to arrange parking - I had never heard of a place that did not automatically include parking. and they seem to...

I stayed in the Penthouse 401 suite for my birthday. I was able to enjoy wine with friends overlooking the ocean, we then went to the Dockside restaurant for a lovely dinner, then theatre sports. Granville Island provided a fantastic venue for this event. The room was gorgeous! The staff was very helpful and accommodating, I would definitely recommend this...

Although some of the furnishings at the hotel are a bit worn, the views are beautiful; the corner room had wonderful views of the water and city and very comfortable bed and great bed linens. The shower was great, roomy bathroom area, and in general, a very quiet setting. Hotel restaurant was very good; we enjoyed a wonderful fresh fish...

I've stayed here a few times on trips to Vancouver. I like the location as it's a "happening" part of the city, especially if you're interested in local art, which I am. The hotel itself is quaint, nicely located, very good restaurant with outstanding food and service, but every time I check in I get a surprise. I've been put...

We were encouraged to stay here from a trusted client who has been there numerous times. It was a peaceful oasis in the middle of a busy city. We often have stayed in the downtown core and this was a welcome change. The room was clean and well appointed. Jack went out of his way to ensure that our stay...

We've stayed at The Granville Island Hotel several times in the past and love it there. We always go back and recommend it to our friends. It's nice to be just outside of Vancouver with easy access to the city, and lots of fun walking around the island. Plenty to do and see there including the Market, eateries, views, and...

We had a truly amazing dirts class experience, from the moment we checked into this fine, boutique hotel every effort was made by the staff to make our stay a really special experience. The comfortable room along with the balcony which overlooked the harbour with it's array of boats and activity was fascinating. We have stayed in hotels around the world, The...

Staying in Granville Island & Fairview

Neighbourhood Profile
Granville Island & Fairview
One of the favoured neighbourhoods for a day out, Granville Island's packed theatres and art studios, hobby shops and book stores, restaurants and bars, all offer a plethora of activities and entertainment options, leaving no one bored. The highlight of the area is the Fisherman's Wharf, where the seagulls overhead and the smell of the sea invigorate its many visitors, some of who are there to shop the fresh wares at the public market, and others of whom have arrived to take in the eclectic atmosphere. A popular seafood destination, and Vancouver's leading spot for improv and amateur theatre, Granville Island is an indulgent, welcoming entertainment centre in any season or time of day.
