With views of the harbour, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my window opened to allow the fresh air into my clean, well appointed room! I didn't feel boxed in like I do in other hotels. With the sauna & whirlpool, friendly staff, breathtaking views, wonderful location... It was a retreat for sure. Highly recommend staying at Granville Island...

We didn't need a wedding planner. We just needed the staff at Granville Island Hotel. The manager took a personal interest in the success of our small wedding and met with us several times to finalize arrangements. She was also available to us through email. The rest of the staff, from servers to chef to desk personnel, shared the same...

As always had another great stay at the Granville Island Hotel. Tucked into the corner of Granville Island away from the hustle and bustle with a very relaxed feel. Best to travel by the water ferries. Looking forward to returning, again and again.

After spending the previous 5 nights in B&B's it was so nice to get to a full service hotel. The room was immaculate, the service superior, and the location ideal. We parked the car for three days and had a great time exploring Granville Island and the surrounding areas. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in

The view from the restaurant is amazing. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great - easy taxi trip to Kitsilano and to downtown Vancouver.

The Granville Island Hotel is exceptional - all the staff have obviously been well trained in hospitality - they were all friendly, accommodating and professional. The very best place to stay in Vancouver for those interested in Arts and Heritage, good food and fresh sea air - an experience not to be missed.

Staying here is an experience more than a hotel room. Set on the edge of Granville Island in downtown Vancouver, this is a special experience. Marina waterfront setting, wonderful walkable island full of crafts venues, market, arts university, and delightful mix of commercial and not for profit mixtures. Rooms are well facilitated and most offer a water view. The restaurant...

Relax on your verandah and watch the water-world go by, or enjoy the city lights in the evening. Away from the madding crowds of the city and a short walk to the fabulous markets, eateries and buskers. Staying here was a real holiday. Sound-proofing could have been better and this is expensive, but I think it was worth it.
