The Sandman Hotel was great, the staff friendly and helpful. Tourist attractions in walking distance to most things. Or just buy a day ticket for the buses, picked up outside the door. Granville Island was an hours walk away but so worth it. Then the bus is there to pick you up. Gas Town, China town just blocks away. Capilano...

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in... Staff at the desk offered no help with bags or told of the use of the security card to use in the lift... Had to ask for two luggage racks when two people were sharing a room.. Only two lifts that were also shared by staff in the morning when...

Booked this hotel because of location (close to Rogers Arena) and decent reviews. Didn't disappoint. Hotel and rooms are a bit outdated but nothing serious to complain there. Parking is provided in the garage below and is relatively easy to access. Lower levels get some street noise. For a hockey (Canucks) tourist this is a super convenient hotel to stay.

Price was right. Location rocks. Staff are friendly. Warning though- the hot tub was beyond filthy. Eat at catch 122 if you stay here. There's all kinds of good restaurants nearby and places to go. Gift shop is reasonably priced too.

I stayed here at the start of the a tour. The location is great, our room was overlooking a carpark so it was a reasonable quiet except for the trucks reversing in the early morning. The room was a decent size with twin bedding which were comfortable. The bathroom was small but not too small. The room was reasonably clean...

We stayed here for two nights at the end of a Rocky Mountains tour. The hotel is centrally located, on the corner of West Georgia and Cambie streets, about 20 minutes walk from Chinatown and Gastown and 5 minutes from the Rogers Arena. The hotel is large and modern, bu the reception area was spacious and well staffed. Our room...

I have recently stayed in this hotel in September 2016 and left with a nasty reaction to bed bugs bites. Old rooms are dark, have old furniture and are full of bed bugs, so beware! and no compensation was offered, overall it was a bad experience!

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
