Our company chose the OPUS hotel as the location for their 2014 strategy session. The venue was great. Customer Service was fanstastic, the room were modern and very clean/comfortable. Everything was top notch!

An excellent boutique hotel at a reasonable price. Good central location near shopping, good restaurants in Yaletown. Canada Line train stop across the street. Free bicycle rentals, great on-site restaurant, friendly staff, clean rooms and great service.

We stayed at the Opus in September while visiting friends. The hotel is well-cared for, has fabulous rooms--quite spacious for a boutique hotel, and is perfectly situated in Yaletown. We especially loved the unexpected perk of having a wifi enabled iPad to carry with us around the city. It was a wonderful experience all the way around. The front desk...

My husband and I stayed at the Opus over the past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The staff was extremely kind and helpful...the room was very clean and the mattress was ubercomfy. We consider ourselves big time foodies and have nothing but raves about the restaurant (best wine service in Vancouver EVER). We have usually stayed at the Fairmont...

I have stayed at the Opus a few times now. It is definitely my go to place in Vancouver. Aside from being a perfectly situated property in Yaletown, it is in the heart of the restaurant and entertainment area. The hotel has a great vibe. The rooms are lovely and the gym is well appointed. What makes this an excellent...

Just moved out of my apartment in Yaletown and used the Opus to transition. Made me want to move in to the hotel full time and stay in Yaletown. Location offers the very best of the neighbourhood and the property and staff are simply wonderful. May be relocating outside of Vancouver and if I do, I look forward already to...

I stayed overnight on my way to a wedding. The checkin staff was very helpful and friendly. My dog was travelling with me and the staff were very pet friendly too. The only downside to this hotel is the parking situation. It can be awkward finding parking if you do not wish to use the valet service.

The staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The only thing that could have gone more smoothly was that we had to remind them a couple of times at different points about the fact that we had booked a package which came with a couple of discounted/prepaid options. As a result, we were unaware of the closing time for the continental...

Great boutique hotel in awesome Yaletown location. Starbucks right across the street as well as the underground Skytrain and easy connection to the Airport. Check out Urban Fare across Pacific Blvd to pick up some nice cheeses and bread, add a bottle of wine from any of the wine stores close by and have your own pre-dinner happy hour in...

I frequently travel to Vancouver, (for over a week at a time) and have stayed at the Opus hotel in excess of 20 times. The location is perfect for me, being diagonally opposite the Yaletown / Roundhouse subway station and two blocks from my Vancouver office. All of the staff (who I insist call me by my first name) go...

Staying in Yaletown & False Creek North

Neighbourhood Profile
Yaletown & False Creek North
Yaletown has risen from the ashes of its rough-and-tumble industrial past into one of Vancouver's new chicest neighbourhoods. The place responsible for originating of the phrase 'skid row' might not call to mind independently-owned boutiques and terraced cafes, but having swallowed the waterfront lines of False Creek North, the resulting amalgamation transformed the area into an elegant, stylish hotspot with a view. Its youthful vibe owes to the many young families and young professionals who live there, bolstering nightlife and restaurant variety along its cobbled streets. It is the flagship neighbourhood for modern revitalization, and the It-Spot for boutique hotels and modish eats.

“We requested a higher floor room away from the elevators. Yaletown is a busy part of downtown and the higher floor cut down on the street noise as did the bathroom which is smartly placed between the bedroom and the street side windows.”

“Liked the recycling bin.. if it's actually sent for recycling. Would have liked to be able to tell housekeeping they didn't have to change my linens and towels every day. Every little bit helps! You should get a sustainability expert to direct you on much more sustainable practices... or a marketing person that toots your horn! ”
