The house is a lovely old house from the 1890's. The owner has spent many hours lovingly restoring the property. The room we were in was very spacious with a double bed. The room looked out over the street and had a small en-suite with a wash hand basin in the room. The bed was comfortable although the sheets were...

A very Victorian B&B at a great location in Vancouver: at walking distance to Stanley Park as well as downtown, where you can find nice restaurants. Excellent breakfast with lots of fresh fruits. The hosts were a little ‘distant’ to us.

We stayed here for 3 nights while in Vancouver and it was great. Location is perfect, hosts were great, breakfast was excellent, and value is fantastic. They can even provide you parking if you need it (limited). No T.V. in the room but then again who goes on vacation to watch T.V. If you need connection, WIFI is good.

Lots of nice restaurants at walking distance and even Stanley Park is at walking distance, which is great. Hosts were nice and the cat and dog are sweet as well. This B&B is expertly run by hosts wife/husband team MaryAnne and Robin who are wonderful ambassadors for Vancouver. They know a lot about the city as well as other parts of BC and are happy to share pointers and recommendations. We slept in the Klimt family room downstairs, which was extremely comfortable for my daughter and I. The beds were...

We stayed here for a few days before and after we had travelled around the Rockies. The location is great for those who like to explore cities on foot. We found the hosts very informative with great suggestions for nearby restaurants. Their knowlegde of bus routes and travels options was great. We enjoyed the old world charm and style of...

Old Victorian lady that is well situated for food, waterfront parks, peace and quiet. A couple block one way to Davie St. or a couple more in the other direction for Robeson St. and you have good, inexpensive eats. A couple more blocks and you are down to the water to stroll or pick up a water taxi to Granville...

We stayed here for 3 nights before a cruise. Robin and Maryann are experienced hosts who know how to take care of their guests. Beautiful neighborhood. Quiet room. Easy walking to the beach, shops, Stanley Park and bus routes. Friendly dog and cat in the house. Robin is a craftsman and has kept this older house in really good condition.

A sweet old house close to downtown Vancouver with charming oldfashioned interior. Almost everything is within walking distance. Mary Anne and Robin are wonderful hosts who spoil you with a delicious breakfast and entertain you with interesting conversations in the evening while sitting on the patio. We had a great time there and a wonderful start to our road trip...

Staying in West End

Neighbourhood Profile
West End
A hodgepodge of landscapes, the West End combines verdant gardens and blocky modern architecture, with Victorian bits and Edwardian bobs in between. It is a paradise for takeout food, take-away coffee, and perhaps incongruously, some of Vancouver's most languid lines of beachfront. English Bay and Sunset Beach invite swimmers, strollers, and picnic-lovers to take in dusk settling over the water, or to jog along with the sunrise, offering breathtaking views at any time of day. The West End merges together so many looks and flavors probably because it functions a hub: its the leafy pit-stop between nightlife and entertainment venues along Davie Street, and the shopping paradise that is Robson Street, offering visitors beautiful parkland to rest on, and quick, easy food to re-fuel with in between ventures.
